On Thursday, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will meet on stage in Atlanta for the first of two presidential debates ahead of the November 2024 election. While their performance in the televised debates could influence the outcome, it wouldn’t be the first time in history that a presidential debate moved the needle in a close race.

Dang, if Nixon looked "old and tired" I can only imagine what they'd say about Biden!

The Kennedy-Nixon debates were the best ever. They discussed serious matters and gave excellent answers. Also, the moderators were real pros who asked pointed questions. Also, there was no audience-which is the way it should be!

“Nixon looked old & tired” Ford: Holy my beer Biden: Hold my Ensure
  • The narrators style of speaking reminds me of my high school presentation assignments

Imagine a debate performance being so bad a candidate has to drop out of the election
  • Debates now need lie detectors and muted microphones. Who would have thought.

The body language of JFK and Nixon tell it all. JFK looks so relaxed and calm while Nixon looks nervous and super up tight

From Nixon and Kennedy to Trump and Biden, what a down fall
  • “Senator, you’re no Jack Kennedy.” Best burn in the history of US debates 😂

The way we will talk about the 24 debate in the future is going to be wild

If former President Kennedy, or former President Reagan, were here today to see all the mud-slinging, nasty comments, like the diaper comments, they would be appalled. They had dignity and respect for each other and for the office of the presidency. 😮
  • It moved the needle in 2024, one candidate is actively being called upon to step aside and not be the candidate

The debate now a days are like watching kids pick in each other. It's so damn sad. Back then at least they were talking to all Americans as a whole unlike today's candidates change their views to gain favor to certain groups of people.

Carter should NOT have debated Reagan. Even if behind in the polls, an actor vs. a peanut farmer. Always thought Carter too wholesome for Pres.

The fact that elections have been swayed time and time again based on performance and "feel" says lots about us. Lots and lots to work on together

Would this couldn't have been a better time to release this video. That last debate was so bad for Biden that the Democrats want a new nominee.
