This reminds me of when I was 12 years old, my friends and I offered to rake the leaves and clean up outside a donut shop for $2 each. We didn’t finish before dark so we went home. I was the only one that showed up the next day to finish and the owner gave me a $20 bonus and an under the table (no W-2 form) job.

It's miraculously rair to find someone sharing their secrets of life & successwhile being aware with the fact that other person learning may get transformed into their competitor but people like Dan still continue coz in today's era we have evolved as selfish creatures who only live for themselves & then we ask why people like Dan are rich & successful. Humanity don't expect rewards coz it's a reward itself. Thank you Dan .
  • "Life gives to the givers and takes from the takers." Such a great quote
  • Key takeaway: "Adding value" simply means helping people without expecting anything in return. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.

This totally gave me the "Aha moment". Especially when he put into perspective of deposits and withdrawals. Genius! Thank you 💖
  • Dan Lok, your message has spoken deep into my bones. Usually I hear the message but my will power is not strong enough to apply it to my life. However, this comment in particular, "you are what you repeatedly do", has me thinking about what I am doing to my life. May you be deeply encouraged for the influence you have made on my life.

"Relational Capital" + "Adding EXCEPTIONAL Value" = SUCCESS

EMOTION - Energy in motion Put emotion into anything you want.
  • 5:27 You provided a service to someone who needed it. For example; the elderly man got tired easily and was struggling to use the big heavy lawnmower. You helped him get over that struggle.

"When you add value first, it's easy to get business"
  • @carlzahir6420
True! True! Definitely TRUE! I'm not a businessman but I'm a salesperson, I remember the quote" When you add VALUE first, it's easy to get customers". I Think this is a simple ingredient to make more customers a salesman with a willingness to help their customers. I love it!!!! Now I can see my purpose! Thank you so much Dan!

Thanks Dan. This lesson reminds me when i was 19 and was outside of a club which was overcrowded and becoming a fire hazard. I was a firefighter and my hobby was graphic design. So what i did the next week was to design a hippy poster for that club and gave it to the owner. He loved it and immediately pasted it outside the club wall. He offered me some money but at that point i wasnt expecting anything so i said its on the house. After that he just told me to enter his club free and drink whatever i want to drink...forever. well i can only drink non alcoholic so i appreciated the juices and free entry throughout my early 20s. So yes i think i got more without even asking

Thank you Dan. This opened my eyes to some big mistakes I've been making in life. Even though I do give monthly to charity, I have to be honest with myself and admit I've been mostly a taker in my relationships with others (family, friends, etc.)... and it hasn't served me well. From now on, I'm going to focus on adding value without expecting anything in return and really nurturing my relationships. That's what really matters most in life.
  • Life gives to givers and takes from the takers ; I totally believed in that ! Thank you Dan
