We are really excited to announce our brand new 'Snorkelling with Sharks' experience now available at The SEA LIFE London Aquarium. Without having to leave UK shores guests can experience a nail biting encounter with the ultimate sea predator in the Aquarium's famed shark tank. Equipped with wetsuits and snorkelling masks, fastened hearts are sure to pound and stomachs flutter as swimmers come face to face with an array of schooling sharks!   Rachel Bull, News Editor for Event Magazine was our first willing victim! Nerves built as she climbed in to her wetsuit and was briefed on her experience in the shark tank.... Immerse yourself with Merlin Events!

I thought it was without a cage lol i'm not spending over £100 to sit in a cage with them swimming around me.. ><
  • @Baemigo
In Sydney (Manly) Aquarium you can dive with the sharks without a cage
  • @LordTwaddle
I was considering doing this but that looks pretty lame. "We would like to show that sharks are harmless" then remove the netting, I'm not frightened by sharks in the slightest and in fact have been in open water with them before. Give people their money's worth

to those of you who have done this experience, can I ask a silly question, what did you need to take with you? swim suit for under the wetsuit? towels? is there any changing rooms/lockers?
  • @MEGZYDAISY
Can't wait to do this but do you get a picture or anything
  • @OoMusicFreakyoO
of course it is in a cage it is still the home of them or whould you like it if someone you dont know comes into your room touches you and follow you
  • @jzy0104
£130 for that. What a "REEF OFF"!
  • False advertisement, 1,you don't snorkel we with shark's. 2,your in a neted box with a perspex floor, so the shark's are not dangerous the fish keeper said at the beginning, and I say fish keeper, because he didn't come across as you're usual marine biologist.
  • If you go to manchester sea life you can do a sea treck not in a cage
  • @sarahh5893
That is a tiny netted area, thought it would be bigger than that

Not sure what is the fuss with this. Why a cage these grey nurse are harmless if you are not squealling like a seal. Been in open water with them in Jervis Bay they are magnificent creatures no need for a net and cage
