I have been a chemist for the past 38 years... The issue with the well water is that the conductivity is too high... that is what the "quality sensor" is measuring, how much dissolved salts are in the water... which is why you use distilled or deionized water... You can actually use a 6 V battery charger (one with a max of a few hundred milliamp current), and two canadian silver leaf coins -- high quality silver... as the process is essentially a form of electrolysis... and a fish tank air pump and bubbler... just to keep the water moving.... Cost under $30-40 depending on the aquarium air pump cost -- been 30+ years since I bought one...

I have the same machine same brand it uses a red light according to the instructions. If the red light comes on immediately, it means your water is contaminated. If the light comes on during the process, it’s just part of the process.

How to test the quality of your Colloidal Silver is to take a small sample set it in bright sunlight and if it turns to a gold color nanoparticles are too big. The silver in the water should not change any color after 10 minutes in the sun means you have a perfect batch that's not been affected by sunlight. If your silver in the water is clear after two days and you take it out in the sun and it stays clear you have a perfect batch. If your silver turns slightly yellow and you take it out in the sun and it stays slightly yellow without any change it is a perfect batch. If the silver is slightly yellow and you set it in the sunlight and it turns Gold within 10 minutes do not use it. If Colloidal Silver After two days is crystal clear or your colloidal silver is slightly yellow after two days and you put in the sunlight and the clear and the slight yellow do not change color at all you have a good batch. The PPM of both colors are 10 PPM
