Comment below some other silly comedies I should check out!
  • @whisperienced
Cotton: "Jen's watching Dodgeball." Pepper: "That's a bold strategy Cotton. Let's see how it pays off for her."
  • @BTAColorado
Christine Taylor (Kate) is Ben Stiller's real life wife. She is surprisingly convincing with her disgust with White Goodman... I wonder what her motivation is 🤣🤣
  • @oskar27971
“Nobody makes me bleed my own blood…” a culturally significant moment in cinematic history… As always, another awesome pick Jen!
  • @Hogtownboy1
If you can dodge a wrench you can a ball. Greatest tag line.
  • @pepsiman990
"I was picturing just one ball but it makes more sense that there's more balls flying around" THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!!!
  • @nsdocholiday
One of the funniest things to me is katherine veech is played by Ben stillers wife, makes all their awkward interactions even funnier.
  • @Lakrimoz
"That's a bold strategy Cotton. Let's see how it pays off for them" is a great quote to pull out when the situation calls for it...
  • @Dr3amtime
I saw this with my kids in the theater when it came out. I laughed longer and louder than I probably should have when Patches was throwing the wrenches.
  • @mojoshivers
If you like Alan Tudyk, you might like Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. Great parody of a typical teen slasher film.
  • I cannot tell you how often I say, "That's a bold strategy, Cotton," to people. I don't know what's better, if they get the reference, or if they look at me like I'm an idiot.
  • Had a dodgeball tournament in high school and our team was 'The 5 Ds' and we all had shirts made that said 'Dodge' 'Duck' 'Dip' 'Dive' '& Dodge' across the back lol 2nd place!
  • Silly movies are the most fun. I like watching movies that are just good, silly fun.
  • So, the original title of this movie was Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, the subtitle kinda fell away after a bit. But the reason for that was because originally, Average Joe's was supposed to lose. The Double-Fault/Sudden Death scene was added after the original ending where Globogym wins. It didn't do well with test audiences, so they added a happy ending. That's why in the credits, Ben Stiller's character comments about people loving happy endings and stuff. It's definitely a happier ending but they originally thought them losing would be a 'True Underdog Story' because the underdog doesn't really win IRL most of the time.

Gary Cole and Jason Bateman as the commentators are MVP - this movie was already funny but when the tournament starts those two really send it into overdrive!
  • @Phoennix3
I used to own the DVD. In the extras were extra dances by the Dodgeball Dancers ("That's some good clean family fun right there, eh Knight?". The director introduced it by saying "I know why you're here. Let's just leave it at that, shall we?". Yeah.... it was VERY like that. The dance they do in the movie: tame. Comparatively.

I remember almost sliding out of my chair laughing in the theatre when this came out. What a classic
  • @suhey34
Great reaction!!! The Naked Gun, Tropic Thunder, Old School and Anchorman : The Legend of Ron Burgandy are some great, silly comedies to check out

I vaguely remember playing dodgeball in elementary school. Vaguely because either it was a long time ago, or because I got hit in the head a lot. Probably both.
