Anna Rajam Malhotra, a 1951 batch IAS officer was the first lady to be in Indian Administrative Service. She appeared for the civil service exam in 1950 after completing her Master's in English literature. Back then, she did not know that she was the first woman appearing for the examination :) Her first posting was in Madras and C.Rajagopalachari,then CM of Madras worried about handing over the responsibility to a woman officer.During her posting,she was advised not to get married if she want to continue her service.Even during her interview she got advice from the board to join foreign service as adminstration is not a kind of job that is suitable for lady officers.Intially she was provided with an office job at secretariat but later on this stubborn lady was appointed as the sub collector in Madras cadre!

For empty space between tabs, if the space is for not mixing the tabs, not for breaking and transportation then all the other tabs also should have space right? why other tabs don't have?this is not satisfactory answer
