ESI Prodigy X-fi NRG Sound Card Review

Hello, nice review. I personally like this soundcard, but I dont know if the Xonar DG (or DGX)is better because I have a external DAC/AMP ( SMSL 793-2). I think the quality of the ESi itself is better then the DG(or DGX) or is the DG same quality then the esi. I have 250 ohms bayerdynamic headphones and I want the best sound for 50 euros. Is that to low price for that what I want??? I really dont know what card I should buy, the esi or the xonar DG(DGX)? I dont need to locate the enemies, because I dont play shooter games. I want good musik sound and game sound. Pls help me out! THX

I have the same version of your drivers but the problem is that after installation the control panel doesn't work (error message appears) and I can't set-up all the different options as you show in your video. The card works and results properly installed in control panel...do you have any idea on what could this be?

My options are: asus xnoar dx, asus xnoar d1 and esi prodigy nrg. I will use them for listening mp3 from headphones or speaker. What difference between dx, d1 and prodigy? thanxs

Salut! Ai putea sa-mi spui cum se comporta in termeni de "zgomot de fond"? Vreau sa o folosesc pentru inregistrare full duplex (inregistrare in timp real a ceea ce ruleaza, de exemplu o piesa de pe YT). De asemenea, ma intereseaza si zgomotul de fond pe Line in. Trece de -60 db? Multumesc!

DX and D1 are the same thing, just different interface. The main difference in that the ESi Prodigy NRG has a headphone amplifier. If you use headphones a lot then go for the NRG.

Nu am avut ocazia sa o testez in inregistrari pentru ca nu fac asa ceva. In muzica de orice fel, jocuri si filme, cu castile mele nu are nici un fel de zgomot de fond. Cel putin urechea mea neantrenata nu il detecteaza. Tocmai asta mi-a placut foarte mult fata de alte placi de sunet "consumer level". Nu am folosit Line in deloc.....am un microfon de 2 lei pe USB care il folosesc doar pentru chat in jocuri.

FOR ALL THOSE STRUGGLING TO INSTALL ON NEWER OPERATING SYSTEMS - YOU MUST DISABLE Windows Driver Signature and then it will work :) Google how to do it, its not hard
