I have been reading a book per week for the better half of the last few years.
In this video, I want to share not only the benefits that I have received from reading hundreds of books but also the strategy which I developed to retain more information, to increase my human capital, which I believe has had an immeasurable impact on my life.

  • When you're beginning to read, dont force yourself to read a book a week, just gradually get into it and you'll actually start to enjoy it

Read three books about any topic in the world and you’ll know more than the majority of people on that topic.
  • Reading has really changed my life I I’ve challenged myself to read 60 books in 1 year and all I can say is that the challenge was mind blowing, not only have I grown has as a person but the way I process life has totally changed. I can proudly say that I’m an Avid reader because I have made it my Arsenal routine to read 1 book ever my week
  • Weird that I stumbled upon this today. I was driving out to the lake, and was thinking about how some of the life choices I've made career-wise, were apart of the path of least resistance. These choices have turned out well for me, but they haven't allowed me to build what I dream of building. Great video Nate, I love the spreading awareness of how important reading and learning on your own time is.
  • I'm pretty sure the secret to being smart is to read. A lot of people think smart people are just born that way but I think it has to do with reading as a kid.

I used to watch Netflix as reward at the end of a productive day. But now, I use reading before going to bed, 30-60 mins. It helps me to fall sleep, and follow the 'No screen time' one hour before sleeping.

After my digital detox I literally became a book warm and I am so happy about this, cuz I fee like I cant live without reading.

Reading rewires your mind. It literally makes your brain grow. After I read a book, I'm not the same person as before reading it. I feel renewed. Also, it allows me to be alone with my thoughts. Read more.
  • I don't understand why most people perceive reading as boring. I personally have read a book a week for the past 3 years and it has changed my life and made me a more creative person.
