Just a nice little trick: once you get access to moss and bonemeal, you won't need gravel to make dirt. 2x2 spruce tress also convert moss into podzol, so you can smelt cobble to create stone, spread moss onto that stone, grow a 2x2 spruce tree to turn the moss into podzol, and then break it without silk touch to obtain dirt.

Imagine being a villager who got turned into a zombie, then when you finally get cured your on a small island in the middle of the void with a random dude smiling at you like a maniac while screaming ‘I’m not alone!’ Edit: Wow it seems like most people would just give up lmao
  • @daandanx
I like how the main island of skyblock has remained basically unchanged for the last 10+ years

19:38 if you look closely, he regenerates half a heart right before the witch brings him down to half a heart. that was a lot closer than it might seem.
  • @umbrify
Watching him crouch around makes me so nervous, those rails make ME feel safe as well lmao! Loving the new series! :_fWhipHeart:
  • It's so hard to estimate how long stuff like this takes. It's a 25 minute episode, but I would guess it took at least 10 hours, maybe even closer to 20. I hope you're enjoying the grind!
  • @topaz_topacio
I’ve become absolutely obsessed with Skyblock. Glad you’re going to give it a shot!
  • @GetGood_1023
This guys is so cool! Can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out 😊
  • @MaximumPanic
I'm impressed you did all this! I'd be too afraid to take my finger off the crouch button the whole time. 😨
  • @beaniechiar25
It’s always so stressful in the beginning😅 Making islands connected by bridges would be cool to see!! Can’t wait to see where you take this series!
  • @slanphere
you can actually make a villager in Minecraft sky block. All that has to be done is get an apple and harvest gold from the zombie pigment making a golden apple, and then capture a witch, which has a chance of throwing a potion of weakness. If you capture a zombie villager, and make the witch's splash potion of weakness hit the zombie villager, and then feed it a golden apple, it is cured.
  • Skyblock series are so much fun to watch. So glad you've started up a series!
  • @vellefigz
I’m so unbelievably excited for this! I hope it goes on as long as the current hardcore series, and longer! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

I'm Soo excited for this new series
  • You've actually made me wanna do Skyblock again. Wow. Ive been watching gems HCSB and I forgot about the early game grind which I love on every new world I'm on. Just coming back from a hardcore burn out myself, this was perfect timing. I think I'll try Skyblock again. Thank you for the inspiration. Looking forward to the next episode.
  • @MrsDizarky
So excited for this series! I'm so impressed with how people can do challenges like this so efficiently. Looking forward to what you do!

Loved watching this, thanks for posting! Just a note on something I do when I start a new SkyBlock attempt: Like you, I create as much of a platform of cobblestone as needed to ensure I capture all seeds. After that, though, I create a cobblestone pillar at least 6 by 6, usually 10 by 10. I do this by creating a cobblestone layer by my base that is at least 2 blocks larger than the pillar I want to make. Then, just like the cobblestone farm, I create a place for the lava to flow from, and a place for the water to flow from opposite it 3 blocks away with both being elevated by one block so that the lava flows out immediately falling to the bottom of the world, waiting for it to hit the bottom, I then let the water loose, which creates cobblestone all the way to the bottom. I then repeat the process until I have my 9 by 9 pillar of cobblestone (actually 10 by 10 so that I have an outside wall so I don't fall off :)) . From that I usually create a descending staircase of cobblestone by mining the pillar. I go down about 9 to 11 blocks deep, clearing the middle as I go as well, and setting up torches as able, and then open up the outside wall toward my base. From there I create a cobblestone layer completely under my base plus a wide margin to ensure anything that falls lands on this new level or on the base. Finally, I gather all my dirt, replacing it with cobblestone so the base level of my base is cobblestone, and then put the dirt, where needed, on top of that for trees/farming etc. Eventually I move all the dirt out on to other new platforms extended from my base to allow for farm animals to spawn. Meanwhile I can continue mining the pillar to get all the way to the bottom of the world where I can create monster spawners that I don't have to worry about impacting my base. The pillars, by the way, are a great way to 'quickly' create a lot of cobblestone and make it easily mineable. Usually I make my initial living space out of the second level of my base (my basement ;)). I usually move my cobblestone farm into the basement so I don't have to worry about it starting a fire upstairs, and set up a 3 by 3 infinite water pool in the basement as well.
