Thank you for using your platform to emphasize what is at stake in the upcoming election. If everyone were to lay it out like you do, maybe more people would vote. šŸ™šŸ¼

I am proud of myself. I'm 76 years and have voted in every election since I was 21. I can't understand why people don't vote.

Happy Anniversary! Thank you for using your platform to encouraging people to vote.

Happy Anniversary to you and Joel! šŸ’•
  • Happy Anniversary! Thank you for stressing the importance of local elections. They can be as important as the national elections.

Happy Anniversary Greg and Joel! I have been thinking of you because my political anxiety has kicked in big time and it has impacted my reading too. My attention span is garbage - Iā€™m trying to counteract that by reading five books at a time so if Iā€™m stopping at least I can pick up something else. Weā€™ll see how that works out! šŸ˜«

Happy anniversary! I like your bear-in-a-canoe t-shirt. Iā€™m reminded of a quote by author Pierre Berton who said, ā€œA Canadian is someone who knows how to make love in a canoe.ā€šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦šŸ›¶
  • Thank you for speaking to so many issues that surround the upcoming election. I am a school librarian and our most recent school board election saw two people elected who would limit access to books and student groups. What is most important is that we get people to pay attention & vote. ā¤

The Check Please duology is so lovely and well done, it is totally right up your Cinnabon alley.
  • Belated Happy Anniversary wishes to you and Joel! Iā€™m Canadian so I canā€™t help election results by way of voting, but I do live very close to the Maine border and Iā€™ve been watching the election news quite closely. Good on you for using your platform to speak out about the importance of voting and local government šŸ‘šŸ» Hopefully something happens to change the trajectory of the projected outcome soon!

Happy, happy anniversary, you two! Iā€™ve also switched to cinnamon bun reading this week, to try to remind myself thereā€™s still good in the world. Iā€™ve been reading (listening to) The Book of Delights, and The Book of Delights 2, by Ross Gay, and itā€™sā€¦delightful! (And keeps me from doomscrolling.) There are definitely parts of Hombrecito that are hard to read, his childhood and the relationship with his family especially. But thereā€™s so much to love about the book, and if you can keep up with it, it has such a sweet, hopeful ending. Just outstanding.
  • Iā€™m loving your romance recs as someone who reads both litfic and romance! The genre is so misunderstood and underrated! ā¤ļø
