Fact: Adele wrote the draft of this song in 10 minutes after reading the script for the film and with Paul Epworth they completed it. This song has the very essence of Adele ♡

She said two days before this presentation that she felt quite nervous to perform in front of so many celebs. You can hear it in her breathing. It made me so glad that she not only nailed her performance but she also took an Oscar home!

She won the Oscar for this and then Sam Smith won it a few years later for "The Writing's on the Wall" from Spectre. Bond music is so high calibre, so many good songs get rejected but they know what they are doing. Three oscars for the last three Bonds, nuff said!
