Bob Uecker was one of the worst players in MLB history. He knew this, so he then decided to transition into becoming the funniest man in all of baseball (and maybe in the history of sports)...

And just remember he had .200 in the majors, which means if he played in a Sunday league, he’d be the best player by a mile. He wasn’t bad at baseball. He was just bad at major league baseball.
  • @Faded_36
Did him dirty by mentioning him leading the league in passed balls in 67’ without giving the context… he just happened to be the personal catcher for one of the nastiest knuckleballs in MLB history, Phil Niekro
  • @Johnmhatheist
Bob Eucker commentating drunk in the major league movies is worth gold.
  • @jcole139
I STILL use his “I must be in the front row” and “JUST a bit outside” lines. 😂😂

A straight up legend. I always feel like us Mets fans are spoiled with Howie but I feel like Bob playing Harry Doyle in Major League made a lot of 90’s kid like myself who root for other teams love him so much.
  • @Shawn-Leider
Wisconsin loves you for this video!!!! We LOVE OUR EUKE. Literally everytime the brewers get close to a pennant the t shirts and fans and even team start chanting WIN IT FOR THE EUKE
  • @plantfeeder6677
That Miller Lite commercial was legendary. You're in the wrong seat buddy. I must be in the Front Roooow.😂 Love this man. Mr. Baseball
  • I didn't think Bob Gibson was capable of smiling while wearing a uniform. The man was a cold-blooded assassin.

"Every player knows when its time to retire. For me, it was the day I walked into the clubhouse and the manager said 'no visitors allowed"
  • @stefanoroberti
Norm Macdonald's and Artie Lange stories on him are some of the funniest stuff ever.

Thank you for doing this video. Being an 80s kid you pretty much just know him for funny Miller Lite commercials, late night tv, announcing, and movies. Thats hilarious about him claiming to play for the Marquette baseball team 😂😂
  • As a Brewers fan, Bob Uckler doing play-by-play is as good as winning any World Series Trophy
  • @raddastronaut
Ueker is the best Thing that ever happened to baseball. “Just a bit outside.” 😂😂 Gets me every time.

Nothing is better than listening to Uke call a game on the radio
  • @silentjay01
That baseball Hall of Fame speech he gave is probably one of the best ever given in Cooperstown. Had the guys sitting behind him practically falling out of their seats. It's basically the closest we ever got to a stand-up special by Bob.
  • This 90 year old Wisconsin sports announcer still calls baseball games the old fashioned way
  • @kielmaguire5121
That's a truly awesome video. Major League is still one of my favorites. 'Ball 4, ball 8, ball 12' he was classic in that movie.
  • @zennyspent
He has made being a Brewer fan feel like the best thing. Sure, they've never won it all, but having Uke calling my team's games during my entire life has been amazing, and I wouldn't trade him for all the rings.
