It seems the interviewer only wanted to hear her hardships but wasn’t willing to listen to here fully

I can't believed how unattached the interviwer is. It is as if she's asking the questions because she has to and not because she genuinely wants to hear Viola's story.

Viola is presenting her soul on a platter in this interview.

There was no conversation here!!!!!! Tina never responded to any of Viola's amazing stories. All she did was nod, chuckle, make an insignificant comment and moved on to the next question!!!!! What a shame!!!!!

Ok I don’t like the interviewer. She’s patronising. The shame and embarrassment 🤦🏾‍♀️
  • This interviewer is so privileged and tone deaf it hurts. At the beginning, Viola said she didn't know how her speech was received. That would have been the moment to ask her about the me too movement. Let the audience take in all of Viola -- the jokes, the emotion, the passion. Ffs.

This Tina person is an awful interviewer! it was evident that she wasn’t listening to Viola Davis her questions were scripted .rather than using Violas responses as followup questions she with obvious seam jumped around to different topics.Viola was amazing too bad the interviewer couldn’t keep up.😒 I heard you Mrs.Davis 😊

Why dear goodness is Tina so fixated on trauma narratives? I thought that it was just me until I started reading the comments below.

Viola: I want to talk about Poverty and root causes. Tina: I'm the product of wealth and privilege, let's change the subject quick fast. smh

The interviewer was so disconnected and interrupted Viola at the most awkward times. Interviewer - PLEASE watch Oprah interviews on how to properly interject and lead an interview.

This interviewer is either a rookie or if she’s experienced then she should be fired. Viola keeps getting interrupted mid story.

WHAT A STRONG AMAZING BLACK WOMAN
  • This woman is such a force. A true artist and living legend. She illuminates the room by sharing her truth. She is the best at her JOB, awards are nice, but we are WORTHY of so much more. Like comparable pay for the work we do. Thank you Viola. 💞

When Viola Davis speaks I listen; so intelligent!
  • @SharieTV
Thank you Viola for showing up in this interview in an amazing way despite this horrible, detached interviewer. An interview like this is not worthy of the vulnerability and excellence of one the greatest actors of our time.
  • @2016brownie
This interviewer is so amazing horrifyingly condescending, tone-deaf, and patronizing it's kind of astounding. She's like a living, breathing caricature and she has no idea.
  • @GreenOrchid9
Tina Brown British colonial empire decendant cannot relate to Viola! She's just using talking points of the day! Viola is talking real talk!!!☇
  • @Budimichael
I wish we didn’t need to stop. This interview is too short, Viola gave a lot of herself and its gold.
