The Rothschild family is a wealthy Ashkenazi Jewish family originally from Frankfurt that rose to prominence with Mayer Amschel Rothschild, a court factor to the German Landgraves of Hesse-Kassel in the Free City of Frankfurt, Holy Roman Empire, who established his banking business in the 1760s.
Built in the 1850s, this amazing 19th century Gothic mansion was used in the filming of Batman Begins in 2005. Failed development plans led to its vacated state.

All these people talking about how beautiful it is and that it’s such a shame. I wouldn’t take this house if they actually paid me to take it. If you knew the real story behind this evil and vile family you might feel differently.

The horrors that place must have seen
-
It's hard to believe that there isn't a groundskeeper on the property. It's even harder to believe that nobody knew these guys were on the property lol.
-
What a stunning place! There's no way it is abandoned. It may not be inhabited but someone is paying for it to be looked after and maintained. Think you guys were very lucky to get as far as you did. Thanks for sharing you adventure!

It’s nice to see that abandoned castles still have landscaping services.
-
I can't imagine what those walls must have seen.
-
Nice gardens, security cameras, etc. There's no way this place is abandoned.

Im a 46 year old single female with no family. Ive been living in my car for 9 months and csn only get a job w Uber Eats despite my BA in design from Columbia. If i could be given just one of those unused pieces to sell via Sotheby's my life would charge forever

Those two metal signs you discovered along the driveway as you approached the mansion are grave markers for two thoroughbred horses: Ocean Swell and Blue Peter, both Epsom Derby winners from the Mentmore stud farm in the estate from when it was owned by Archibald Philip Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery, who later became the Prime Minister of England for two years from 1894 to 1896.

Man, the skill, attention to detail and design that went into building this mansion is unreal. It just baffles me what level of craftsmanship humans were capable of in those days.

I think that round structure you found at around 9:30 might be an ice house. Before refrigeration people used to buy and store large blocks of ice shipped in from Norway and other places for use during the summer. The opening scenes of Frozen show how it was done. The ice would then be packed in a structure like that and insulated with sawdust and the ice used during the summer.

This is clearly not abandoned. The gravel road was very well maintained and freshly raked. Obviously nobody lives there but somebody is still taking care of this place. Believe you were breaking and entering.!
-
What an absolute fabulous property, but someone somewhere still pays for the grounds to be maintained example grass cutting, security cameras still working which tells you someone is still trying to protect their millions.
-
RIP all the poor souls lost in this mansion.
-
Absolutely enchanting!! Such a beautiful building! Thanks for sharing this with us and taking the chance of getting caught!! ❤😂❤
-
AMAZING. Thanks for sharing this experience!

You should talk with Jessie Czebotar about this mansion ~ she knew the Rothschilds family. There’s no way I could ever go into this mansion knowing what the family was involved in. ♥️ love your videos.

When the world knows what these monsters have been doing to children all your filming will lead us to the crime scenes and that terrifies them ! , thank you for being brave enough to do it .
