  • I think the station that inspired "Kings Cross station in Harry Potter" is King's cross station.

Porto is such an understated beauty. Paris and Rome may be more grand and opulent, but Porto has that indescribable something that can't be matched
  • I'm gonna be honest, i'm from Vila Nova de Gaia and i of course i love Porto . I feel grateful and proud of seeing people from other parts of the world talking so good of the city that im so proud of
  • Porto was really walking friendly, even late at night and early Morning. I never felt threatened. Also at a side walk cafe, I had calamari. I felt so welcomed from the staff, as I people watched. This was across the park and street from the stock exchange.
  • From a Porto guy, I could tell I’m much he fell in love for the city. People from Porto or “ Portueses” as we call, like to write letter for the city and yours is truly real. Love from Porto 💙

You're in my hometown Dave. Watching your videos, particularly this one, from where we live here in California fills us with saudades. We'll definitely move back eventually, we'll be there for a couple months from April to june, can't wait. Also, often friends and colleagues ask me for a list of places to visit in Porto, it's always kinda hard to come up with a good list but you actually did a pretty good job at it, and this from someone who was born and raised there. 🙏 Obrigado! Thank you for taking good care and featuring our country Dave, it means a lot. ❤️
  • Dave!! You are the only one that explained "O PORTO" THE PORT. Claro, moço! O Porto é uma nação carago 💪 No Porto (in the port) é só gente de carácter forte, de simpatia única! Viva o norte, o povo mais forte 💪 I am from Peniche but my mother is from Gaia. Loved my mothers side family. Ppl from that region are very unique. Great channel Dave! Keep it up. You turned the best YTer about Portugal. Hugs from Switzerland ❤

I am proudly Portuguese, and a daughter of Portugal. Obrigada Dave, for the wonderful videos of Portugal. It simply fills my heart with so much warmth and saudades. Até a próxima❤️🇵🇹❤️
  • I love this city so much! Sadly, I am not living in Portugal any longer and I feel a lot of "saudades". Thank you for your video, it brought tears to my eyes.
  • Obrigado for loving Portugal and the people so much. Next time in Porto, you should also visit Torre dos Clérigos for a breathtaking view of the skyline, and Palácio da Bolsa landmark building. Safe travels -
  • I loved Porto!! Beautiful city and the people were so kind and friendly. We found a small family-owned restaurant and that was our favorite place to eat. I love climbing the hills and was surprised how well I handled it all. I would go back again! I didn't care for the Fracesinha. I loved walking across the bridge to the other side of the river for photos. We stayed on Santa Caterina in downtown so we were centrally located and everything was easy.

I stumbled upon your videos while I was visiting Lisbon for the first time! I debated whether to visit Porto and this video helped me decide. Right now I’m on a train headed there! Thanks!
  • @mukkins555
Excellent video! This is Mike in Portugal, returning from the Algarve to Porto for 2-4 months, so you gave me some excellent places to see I haven't experienced. GREAT JOB!
  • I'm from Lisbon, live in Ericeira, but I love the city of Porto. Everything is beautiful there. About the Treaty of Windsor, It is actually the oldest diplomatic alliance in the world still in force, it was signed on May 9, 1386. Let me tell you, an anemone (in portuguese anémona) is like a flower in the sea.
  • This video is outstanding. Of the dozens and dozens we’ve seen I like this one the best. Definitely the city view from Torre Clérigos is missing, but you only had 48 hours, after all! I’m so happy with your love letter to my favorite city in the world! I really appreciated feeling your affection for it. We will invite you up for a stay sometime, if you like! And a deeper look at the city.
  • I'll be there in 5 weeks, today is January 31. My trip is on March 8 thru March 16. I'm so excited! Thank you for the video.

My buddy has been telling me how beautiful Porto is. Now watching your video, I have no excuse not go to visit. Thanks
  • One of the best videos you have made, and one of the best I have seen on Porto. I only wish it was a bit longer with a bit more content, but awesome work Dave.

I took a working holiday for a month in O Porto last January and fell in love. Stunning city wit some of the best food I've ever had. The hills are BRUTAL, but you'll get used to it, lol. Gonna be doing a week in Lisboa soon and hope it can live up. Debating taking the bus up north and switching my hostel reservation so I can spend more time there.
