As an out of state landlord, to have a relationship with someone that is trustworthy and responsible to manage your properties is priceless.
  • The plaintiff was so nice, he even nodded hello to the defendant when he came into courtroom.

He knew the lease says 15 days but believes in his heart he can insist on 60 days? Cool. I believe in my heart that my rent is really $1, I'll go let my landlord know the good news!
  • @GeorgiaWhisper
He's been talking 2 minutes straight and still didn't state why he didn’t return the deposit

The landlord is highly practiced at sounding so sincere and magnanimous while conning people out of their just deposit return.

This landlord should be ashamed of himself. The nice tenants were right and they deserve their security. Great case
  • Any landlord should be pleased as punch to have such responsible and helpful tenants. I hope this experience hasn't ruined their goodness.

Oh my gosh, you can tell in the first minute the landlord thought that he could screw him out with the 60 days

Landlord: He didn't give 60 days notice. Judge: Your lease says he's only required 15 days. Why haven't you returned his deposit? Landlord: My accountants have looked and looked, and we have no record of him ever paying a deposit. Judge: Why did you tell him after 60 days that you would return his deposit? Landlord: Your Honor, my yes is a yes, and my no is a no. 🤨

He’s lives in Naples but couldn’t give them that money back?? The fact that he was taking ONLY $50 off to rent for all he was doing is crazy lol He’s doing what many people do to Hispanic people
  • @shadowxoxo
The defendant seems like a slumlord. Doesn’t know his lease and lies out his gums.

The plaintiffs are beautiful and seem like decent people. The defendant is a jerk, and talks in circles.
  • Landlord doesn't know his own lease!! Talking in circles, and got all that money, and still didn't give them there security deposit!!
