Lyrics:
He could not save us all
He could not save us all and
No one's left to take the fall
He's trapped inside his walls

He didn't say goodbye
He's playing god decide who lives or
Dies it's his design
He's trapped inside his mind

Hello neighbor
Glad that you could drop by
But it's a bad time
And I'm a little tied
Up at the moment
So if you'd leave me alone
And say goodbye
I won't ask about your wandering eye

Sorry I can't come to the door for more
I feel like we barely see each other
And you're only next door
Did you try to say hello before and miss me?
I assure you nothing's wrong, I've just been very busy

Much to be done in
Such little time it's
Enough to make somebody
Crumble undone and
As they stumble to outrun their mind

Look at me mumbling! You're getting impatient
Well why don't you come in. I'll show you the basement

What are you spying for?
I'm just curious.
What are you LYING for?
It makes me FURIOUS
RRGH! You shouldn't have come looking for trouble
Don't struggle - hold on, let me get my shovel

He could not save us all
He could not save us all and
No one's left to take the fall
He's trapped inside his walls

He didn't say goodbye
He's playing god decide who lives or
Dies it's his design
He's trapped inside his mind

I'm a brainiac
I'm on the edge they're calling me a maniac
I'm on the ledge who knows which way I may react
Apostle of the technical, erecting the impossible
A feat of engineering veering into disarray

The way that every memory's sending me to
A place where every friend of me's my enemy
Retrace the steps I went on that dismember me
Can I build a machine
That can filter the screams in my head?

Can I scheme in between
All the themes of the dreams of the dead?
I have lost all that I am willing to lose
It's got me confused, It's got me unhinged
Paranoid that I will lose the boy and you will win
My mind is a museum every painting is a scar

They're calling me extreme but
What the hell does that make what they are?
I'm chasing shadows in the dark
I'm chasing all the fallen feathers in the park

A raven saying nevermore
They're paving over secrets held forevermore
I'll master hell so what do I need heaven for?

He could not save us all
He could not save us all and
No one's left to take the fall
He's trapped inside his walls

He didn't say goodbye
He's playing god decide who lives or
Dies it's his design
He's trapped inside his mind

He could not save us all
Left to take the fall
Trapped inside his walls
Trapped inside his
Mind

  • Hey everyone, we saw the comments and responses that were shared online, the last thing we want is to leave off the impression that we don't listen to fans if something works or doesn't work! Our goal is always to make something we love so you get a song you love in return. We legit had fun making this track, thank you all who have had constructive things to say, we already looked over a lot that was being said and we're figuring out what worked and what didn't. You can also leave feedback in the reply, we’ll read responses there as well. Thanks! Much love from us to you, TLT
  • I cant say anything bad about this song. I have no idea why people are saying this is bad. The chorus is a really catchy tune and the rap verses sound progressively more unhinged as each one comes in. Its mirroring what the neighbor feels like in the game. Building up higher and higher more insane nonsensical structures while still keeping in time with the beat enough to sound pleasing and frantic. 10/10 a The Living Tombstone hit
  • Say what you will about this song, but "I've mastered Hell so what do I need Heaven for?" is a badass line
  • @Chekkam
“I feel like we barely see each other and you’re only next door” gave me goosebumps
  • @Glue_Eater06
The story presented in this song is more interesting than the story presented in the actual game
  • @corn7535
Ok I know that this song is getting dunked on and memed but I do genuinely like the instrumentals. I like the choirs in the back, and the unique robotic vocals for the chorus are something I really enjoy in every TLT song. Just wish the rest of the song had some of that uniqueness, specially the choirs, I'm a sucker for choir elements haha
  • @Starclaymore
The chorus is beautifully haunting. I really love how each iteration feels almost darker and more epic than the last one. The visuals also match perfectly. Love it.
  • @ansonist
Unpopular opinion, but even with some of the more awkward parts I feel like the off-beat timing and peculiar pacing of the lyrics is actually quite unique and fits the mood of the game. A lot of people give this too much hate for being different from the normal TLT or just because cringe culture puts a death grip on a lot of people's enjoyment. This song reminds me a lot of the particular vibes in TLT's FNAF music, but it's still individual to Hello Neighbor. Anyone who watched or played it can probably appreciate that more than a stranger to the games.
  • @Neiroe
Sam is such an incredible vocalist, and it really does shine here.
  • I hear people hating on this song, and I really don’t get why. I personally the rhythm of the song perfectly describes the neighbors mind being so frantic and jumbled. The only slight problem I have is that it is a bit short, but that’s about it. Nothing bad about the song itself. Another banger from TLT in my book!
  • @FoxyFutures
why is everyone hating on this song? like i get that everything is off beat but you have to know this is because the neighbor is anxious. thats why he locked up his son. he was afraid his son would die, just like all the rest of his family.
  • @ThatFrostbyte
There's a certain ring to TLT choruses that no other artist has been able to replicate.
  • @Beestying
I'll admit I didn't expect much of a song for this game. Clearly that was an enormous mistake. Use me as a lesson to never underestimate TLT. The lyricism of this song is incredibly powerful and I can't help but try to keep the beat with my head as the words spill over each other like a waterfall. The first verse caught me incredibly off guard with the plain voice and normal phrases after such an ethereal initial chorus, it genuinely sounds like something anyone would say, just a normal conversation with distant neighbors. The descent into madness is slow but obvious to an outside observer but honestly the lyrics are so impressive and the rhyme scheme so bizzare yet perfect I can't help but want to watch more. My only complaint is that the song is so short. This is easily the kind of song you could let wash over you as you lie in bed and stop thinking for a while before looking up and realizing it's been an hour and a half. Well freaking done TLT.
  • @moonlit_dreams
I was listening to it on loop on spotify and logged into youtube to watch the video .. the comments caught me completely off guard, this is why I mind my own business and make my own opinions bc I genuinely like this song 😭
  • First time you listen to it, it sound goofy/wierd, but when listening to it over & over, it makes you feel nostalgic.
  • @NiqRipple
This song is truly one of a kind, I’m so grateful it was made. My father was in a tragic car accident and he finally woke up from his coma. Thank goodness for this song, he woke up just to turn it off. 🙏🏻🔥💯
  • this is certainly one of the hello neighbor songs of all time
  • @TheGenericPerson
I love this song, even if others don't. I need more songs like this!
