What I Learned About Grief Gave Me Goosebumps

Published 2023-09-22
Grief and loss will touch all of our lives at some point. It's a unique pain that is often mixed with fear and regret, anger and sadness. But most of that pain stems from a misunderstanding about grief, death, and life itself.

When we understand our grief, we begin to see the beauty in it. Just like giving birth can be a beautiful, yet painful, celebration of life; so too can our grief. Grief is love, grief is healing, and grief is there to help us. In today's YouTube video, I share how we can make peace with grief.

  • Your last words brought me to tears. It is true that I feel closer to my beloved partner who passed away 8 years ago now more than ever. A moving and wise message, perhaps reflecting your own recent loss? Thank you! I will recommend this video to others I know who are grieving at this time. 🙏💙

Thank you. This is such a beautiful message. I'm terminal and have a couple of months until I go home to Father in Heaven. This will be a great video for my friends that I love as they love me. I just want to say even though I don't know you. I love you. Tell as many ppl You love them as much as possible ❤️ I had a near death experience at 27 yrs old. Now 60+. I know where I am going and the UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND LIGHT IS BEYOND BEAUTIFUL. ❤ JUST LOVE, OK❤

I have sought out and listened to countless videos on grief and how to deal with it. I am a very emotionally sensitive person and when death of anything I love occurs, it devastates me so very badly. I want to tell you that your videos on grief helped me the most of all of them. Your sensitivity shows clearly, but at the same time your objectivity regarding the grief process has a grounding effect that begs to be discovered somewhere while the grief process hits you and has to run its course. Grief is the hardest emotion a person has to experience, and some extremely sensitive people like me need each and every analytical piece of advice and insight we can get. YOU are precious and a treasure in what you try to do for others who find themselves smack dab in the middle of what we naturally dread most - grief. Can't thank you enough for the gift of compassion, understanding, and knowledge you bring to the table. God bless you for that, Todd. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
  • I'm so thinking a lot about the dying aspect of life , it makes me feel so wierd its definitely the nothingness, if I knew for sure I would be with my family I would cope I also don't get the bit about no past because your memory stores the past its all so confusing I'm so drawn to your videos😮
  • Anybody who comes into our lives, comes to teach us something to elevate us spiritually. It is a different matter that we don’t get it.

Needed to hear this. Most people do not know aboout the wisdom that grief carries. Thank you so much.

Holy so moving brought tears but some relief in the dissection of the reality process of the loss.

I cannot begin to tell you how good you are at expressing your thoughts and ideas. When my husband passed away a little over three years ago, the thought kept entering my mind that grief is just live with nowhere to go. Your thoughts on the matter certainly confirm that. Thank you.

Thank you Todd for those closing words about becoming closer thru grief. A long term grief survivor here. 💕💕💕🌟
  • I truly hope you realize how much these words you've shared will help so many of us. My mom is 92 and while in good health being an only child I am very close to her. I have tried to plant the idea that one day she will not be present but I'm being told you can't emotionally prepare yourself enough for that moment. Your words are so strong and I can tell you have walked that walk and still may be processing a loss. Again it is so reassuring to see your face as you speak for you in a spiritual way are my therapist and guidance through times when an eye opening and realistic usable approach is needed. Blessings Todd.

Dear Todd, thank you for this beautiful and wise video. Your words moved me and I'm so grateful to have watched this. Thank you for the work you do.
  • Attachment is a real kicker, deep suffering. Learning to let go, to accept is the spiritual work of our lives. Love the ending of your video. To know that we are one and separation is an illusion, the sting, the burn begins to heal within us. 🙏💖🙏
  • @DudGolfer
Thank you Todd, you always say what I need to hear.❤
