In this edition of #thedailydoug, I'm listening to the new song, Ratatata, by BabyMetal and Electric Callboy. I've heard both of these pop sensations only once before on the channel, and it was a very fun and groovy experience to hear them collaborating on this song. It's a real roller coaster ride!

BabyMetal was interviewed on their recent European tour, and if I understood correctly...: BabyMetal was writing a song in the style of Electric Callboy's "We Got The Moves" - and called Electric Callboy for the collaboration... and here we are. Definitely has the same musical form that Electric Callboy frequently uses - as well as the infectious earworms and total smiles. Fun song!

There were a few festivals this summer where both bands were on the bill - and they both played this song, each featuring the other as guests 😅

since you are a prog fan, I'd suggest Babymetal -> Tales of the destinies 2016 live tokyo dome. The song is a nod to Dream Theatre. You will love it.

I went to see BabyMetal, when they toured Australia last year, they were bloody amazing. Walking around Melbourne after the show, there were BabyMetal T-shirts everywhere, and everyone was just smiling and talking to complete strangers about how awesome the show was. I would recommend seeing them live to anyone!

Both of these bands know how to build the sound of joy into their music. I think you should do BABYMETAL's "TALES OF THE DESTINIES". It has so many time signature changes that one would have a hard time learning it, yet they perform it with mind-blowing precision. Kitsune dao!
