5 BEST UNIQUE SHIELDS (+LOCATIONS) in TESV: Skyrim SE - Caedo's Countdowns

I feel like the Aetherium Shield is more of an "oh shit" button, it essentially gives you time to heal for example, or cast buffs, or lay traps, pretty much works best as a spell-shield build

I really feel like a 'worst unique' or 'worst items' list would be fun, Caedo Countdownesis

I always use spellbreaker normally because for a Warrior character those ice spells always beat me mad quick. lol good video Caedo

For those who don't know. In order to get the letter from Falk Firebeard, you must gain at least one level after completing "The Man Who Cried Wolf" quest.

I kind of wish that with the Aetherial Shield had a detonation effect, where it has the normal original enchantment but once the ethereal effect is done, they explode with magical damage. A shield that would be perfect for crowd control.

Spell breaker is my favorite shield.

The use for the aestherial shield is basically crowed control. I use it a ton playing legendary because i can cut the enemy numbers down a ton and focus certain ones

What about targe of the blooded?

The giant in the cave behind you when you see it also has a ruby paragon it might be a sapphire paragon.

dawnguard shield stamina bypass- use drai vitality shout on target before blocking

on legendary the aetherium shield can be useful at lower levels you can use it to give yourself time to heal if you are using restoration

About the Aetherial Shield, there is a perk, I believe it's in the Block skill tree that grants you the possibility of disarming an opponet with the shield bash attack. If you couple that with the effect of the shield, when enemies are struck with the shield, they will drop their weapons and run away. All of that, coupled with the size of the shield(I believe it's the second largest, with Ysgrammor's being the largest), and thus providing more coverage from attacks, I would give a more serious look at the Aetherial Shield as more than just a wall hanger.

I always pick a Breton and enchant some gear with magic resist. Never happened for me to use spellbreaker, but I recognize the power within.

Aetherial Shield is meant for crowd control. Bash the big guy so he can’t kill you, take care of the minions, circle back to the big guy. The fear helps you get some distance from him is all. Would be much better if you could get this AND the crown, but unfortunately unless you’re specific about using this for a build then most will skip the aetherial shield.

Spellbreaker can also be paired with the Ward Absorb perk from the Restoration skill tree, effectively negating magic attacks that hit it.

I see the Aetherium shield being useful if you are being swarmed, like if 3 guys are rushing you, shield bash one to take them out of the fight for a bit so you have less to worry about.

Combo the Aetherium shield with warlocks ring is amazing

never actually used the Aetherium Shield but where i am in the game it would be great for crowd control when fighting multiple high hp and damage mobs. you can bash most or all of the other mobs allowing you to essentially 1v1 the mobs instead of 1v? mobs.
