It’s interesting how different but at the same time how similar our backgrounds are. I’m from Portugal and there almost everyone is a Catholic, you’ve even got “secular Catholics” who say they are Catholic because of their upbringing but don’t practice it. People are so blinded by religion and tradition, and although they supposedly believe in Jesus they don’t know much of the Bible, most of them don’t even know what the Gospel is, it’s so sad. I was one of those, until God opened my eyes. And then the atheists and non-believers get such a distorted view of what Christianity is. Across different cultures and religions, at the baseline the heart issues that keep people from God seem to be essentially the same... Enjoyed the podcast pretty much, praying for the people of Israel 🙏🏻♥️🇮🇱

Unbelief and wrong beliefs are veils which prevent our understanding. As a teenager, raised in a non-religious gentile family, I tried reading the Bible and didn't understand it, though I enjoyed literature. Ten years later, I gave my life to Yeshua and now I understood when I read the Bible because the Holy Spirit was teaching me. So I relate to the concept of a veil needing to be lifted.

While you were bringing examples from religious leaders in Judaism I couldn’t help but relate everything with my small island of Cyprus and my orthodox Christian background. Unfortunately or fortunately, we have too much in common. Even up to the point when you reach #15 I had to stop and comment because this is exactly what I’m seeing all around my island as well! I am praying for Israel and I’m praying for my country especially for those who claim to be followers of Jesus that they would actually follow Him with everything they have without the cultural religious practices. Thank you for these prayer points. As a gentile I have been very grieved with the church's past relationship with Israel even now I am saddened. But I know Yeshua has a glorious plan for the children of Israel as he does for the church. Together our relationship with him will become a bride without blemish.

I pray that God’s word would be the lamp to the feet and the light on the path of all people in Israel…. By the wonderful Saviour and gracious Lord, Who came to free us all from sin & its penalty… Amen!

I am always blessed hearing the words of a once secular Jew who has come to know the Eternal One through His Son. His burden and desire for his fellow Israelis and his humble and gentle spirit is only magnified by the insight and handling of the Scriptures in reaching the wide spectrum of both the religious and secular Jew. Baruch Ha Shem for that Korean missionary who brought you the message of life that you now share with others.
