  • Hotel make-over: Easy. Injecting personality into owner: Impossible. Ruth deserves a medal for this one.

why do they always say i don't need your advice after asking for it? if they knew what they were doing, why ask for help and why are their businesses suffering?
  • Peter looks like Peter Sellers in one of his awful Clouseau disguises!
  • Trip advisor reviews indicate not much has changed - specifically the rudeness of Peter.

What what .... "Ruth Watson" hotel inspector, I'm one minute and thirty-eight seconds into watching this video, and I'm already missing Alex Polizzi. DEEP BREATH, ok.... let's see what Ruth can do.

This was an interesting watch. Ruth doesn't quite have the warmth that Alex has but she clearly knows what she's talking about and doesn't want to waste anyone's time and you've got to respect that. Peter meanwhile... Seems lovable, sure he'd be great to go for a drink with, think I'd run a mile from any business he was involved in though.

He is still there, it looks like he hasn't changed a thing since this makeover, and there are many reviews complaining about his attitude and the cleanliness of the place
  • It seems many of these people who buy small hotels or bed & breakfast places are buying a home first and then a way to make a living second all rolled into one. They have failed to be able to pay for both a home and a business, so they do the two-for-one thing. it's not a bad idea at all if they can pull it off, but it's not as easy as it may appear. I do agree with Mr. Mann about the salt; maybe a small amount in some dishes, but let the consumers of the food use the salt shaker. Too many humans have high blood pressure and need food without so much salt.

Can't for the life of me understand how the ex-wife let this catch of a man get away 😉 I wasn't happy to see there was no Alex this week, but I didn't dislike Ruth - obviously knows her stuff and has way more patience that would have!

"i don't get passing trade" hmmm, i wonder why?
  • I like Ruth ... yes, she is very ''direct'' BUT she is really trying to speak 100% Truth'' here : ) & I really believe she's trying to Help! Also, I like Alex but [imho] it's not fair to judge / compare Ruth to Alex ... They are ''both'' [different] Fabulous Ladies !!! I also ''truly'' like Peter, he's eccentric, unique, interesting, comedic in a dry way etc but he just needs help w/ his B&B : ) !!
  • She is an expert Peter, you are Not!!!! Bed skirts are very wrinkled.....iron????
  • Lots of potential here, as a TV comedy series about a dysfunctional seaside hotel owner. Just needs a waiter that can't speak English.
