This is actually the first project I've completed as part of the #roxysjournalofstitchery. The March 2024 prompt was a #huswif also called a #hussif or #sewingroll.
A fun slow stitching project with endless variations.

Thanks for watching,
Melanie x

Your huswif is really lovely 😊 I think the colours came together well. Love the little Panda and love Annie’s suggestion of asking him to look after your thimble😉😁👏🏼🦋🌻

Wonderful tutorial …. I’ve been wanting to make one or two of these …. It helps to see how the start and continue through the process ❤
  • I love this. Really helpful to see the process you went through to design what was going to work for you. I love the addition of the little finger puppet, and it gave me the idea to ask my daughter to crochet some thing that I could either put in a little pocket or even just tack down inside, whenever I get around to making one of these. I have a tiny little crochet octopus she made that sits in my little box of embroidery supplies.

Hi Melanie, how lovely to find you on YouTube again, you were one of the first people to get me into all this slow-stitching malarkey and I can't imagine life without it now! Your hussif is gorgeous, and I love the cute little panda guy in there ust for fun - maybe he could be a thimble minder?? :) Annie xo
