Marc Alaimo (rightfully) gets a lot of props for his portrayal of Dukat, but let's give some love to Casey Biggs as Damar. His arc, from Dukat's right-hand man to disillusioned drunk to revolutionary hero is remarkable at every turn. His "how can we fail?" response here and his "resist today, resist tomorrow" speech are something we would never expect from a Cardassian: inspirational.

"Does anyone have any last words?" "Final words are not permitted." "How disappointing."
  • @Argumemnon
"Shall I have them brought here?" "What for?" Nice subversion of usual plot devices, there.

I wish we could have seen the communication between the Cardassian ship captains when they found out the Dominion was bombing cities on their homeworld and decided enough was enough.

"With men like you by our side, how can we fail!" - damar. Hearing him say that always fills me with emotion. Gods, I'm such a sucker for corny scifi writing!

"What for? - Have them executed." ... Didn't work that time, but more TV/movie villains should take note.

Dominion Ships : Explodes from almost every hit. Defiant : Dodges almost every hit. Romulan Warbird : Takes EVERY hit from a squadron of Attack Ships and does not give a single Shit about it.

2:19 I feel bad to whoever gets told that in the big battle they will be in a runabout.

DS9 is probably the Trek Series that would benefit the most from a remastering.

For me the most impressive actor/actress was Salome Jens. Her portrayal as the female changeling was superb. She also played an alien in Voyager where she again, rocked it. She's a great actress.

This scene was very powerfull. Especially if you consider the long build-up to it... DS9 was indeed Star Trek's finest series.

God the Klingon's are so fucking cool when they're allies

It is so satisfying to see the Galaxy class ships in fleet formations. They are majestic and beautiful, but deadly at the same time after their Dominion War upgrades. Definitely the most beautiful Star Trek ship ever!
  • Damar is a surprisingly inspirational leader once he comes into his own. I mean, I'd follow the guy.
  • Warms my heart to see Romulan, Federation and Klingons fighting side by side. It breaks my heart seeing them get destroyed.
  • I love that Garak's last words were going to be "how disappointing." I didn't catch that until now, but those'll probably be his last words when he later dies of space cancer, too.

The Founder is actually a smart villain. She doesn't waste time with meeting them and gloating. She just immediately orders their deaths.
  • wtf did the founders expect. you can't keep the cardassians as allies after you destroy a entire city

Love how coolly Captain Sisko stated "the timing couldn't be better" about a huge turn of the tide.
