The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the Colbert Report was the best hour of television.
-
Man..... we could really use a Jon Stewart in 2020. Miss that guy.
-
Jon Stewart is one of America’s truest Citizens, and We are lucky to have him.
-
The best thing about Jon Stewart is he knows when to pause. He knows when silence is the best response. Just looks at the camera with blinks or a shocked face. I miss that so much.
-
He's back Mondays beginning Feb. 12th on The Daily Show, until after the November election and beyond. I can't wait. And will be executive producer indefinitely.
-
The fact that he told Tucker Carlson "I'm not your monkey" makes me love Jon even more 🥳🧡
-
The GOAT. I feel privileged that I was awake and watching during the Jon Stewart years.
-
So glad he's back on The Daily Show even for only one night a week. What a treasure.
-
Jon Stewart should get a nobel prize for calling out the bullshitters.
-
They kept calling him a fake news journalist, what did I miss? I've learned more from Jon than I have from most people on CNN or NBC, the only difference is that he makes you laugh while News Stations take the opposite approach. My generation didn't have a voice to speak up for us like decades past, Jon filled that void.

I'm surprised they didn't go into more detail about how Jon Stewart has been a "king maker" of top talent. So many of his pundits have gone on to super-stardom and critical success from his show. Colbert was just one example - John Oliver, Larry Wilmore, Olivia Munn, Steve Carell, Rob Corddry, Aasif Mandvi, Ed Helms and on, and on and on... The man has the golden touch for finding and nurturing talent!

He’s a great American! Witty intellectual, devoid of hypocrisy. We need his voice NOW, more than ever!
-
He is political comic that checks the facts BETTER than the real news thats why he is hilarious and liked.
-
Jon Stewart is a national treasure.

What makes John Stewart compelling and influential isn’t his sharp wit, there are lots of witty people. It isn’t his inherent sense of how to be convincing, there are lots of salesmen. It isn’t that he is a comedy genius. There are lots of funny people. It is his overwhelming decency, that has formed into a system of unshakable ethics. Put it together and you find someone who cuts through the noise, is heard, and once heard you want to trust the message. If you aren’t fundamentalist in your belief system, then you will consider what he has to say. Don’t agree with everything he says... but listen to him. His opinion is important.

I'm from India and started watching clips from The Daily Show with John Stewart online back in 2003 and watched it ever since. I learned so much about American politics thanks to the Daily Show, much more than watching mainstream US news.

I am a conservative, and even though I often disagree with Stewart's take on things, I still love him. He is HILARIOUS and his commentary nearly always nails it. He doesn't hesitate to point out lunacy wherever he sees it - on the left or the right side of the aisle.

This is just an honest man, doing a thing that his heart tells him to do. No lying to others. No lying to himself. Just a smart, honest man naming what he sees.
-
Jon Stewart: Fake Newsman delivering real news. Fox News: Real Newsmen delivering fake news.
-
its not fake news... its satire. huge difference and why it worked so well.
