Published 2024-06-29
This is a technique I developed early on in order to maximize efficiency with my left hand while playing repetitive boogie woogie patterns. Hope that it helps you too! Enjoy

My left hand boogie woogie technique has always fallen a little short. This explanation of how you do it (and you do it well) might be just what I need. Thanks.

I was struggling with my left hand getting tired really quickly, I'll try this technique now. Thank you Arthur, you're the best.
  • This is helpful . Thank you so much ! I have tenderness at the base of my thumb. I feel it’s a strain injury. I have also had neck spasm after playing. We need your lessons to correct hand position and posture to avoid injury and fatigue. 🇿🇦😊

HA! That was the pinky thing Gabby called you on the night she met you in the theater lobby, and you told her there was a reason for it. Have to show her this.😁

🎵Hi Arthur, gonna try this Cobra technique when I return from my holiday down here in sunny Devon. No access to a piano for 2 weeks! ☹️ Awful! Thank goodness I've brought a guitar or I'd go crazy! 😂🎵

I think you use a modified version with the walking bass too.
