Good to see two of the Mongol hairstyles represented here. I myself wear the forelock from the 13th century classic Mongol period. This forelock style came from the Khitans of the 9th century. The Khalkha noblewoman headdress is from the 17th century and onwards. We Mongols wore the Qin (Manchu) queue too from the 17th to 20th century.

I do wish I had some International and universal glamour guide books about the ancient, medieval, historical, and modern eye lash and brow, bang, hair, mustache, and beard dos and don'ts for children from Pre-K to Senior and adults from young to old age right here and right now.

Something about the simplicity of the chignon is fascinating to me.
