Congrats from a stranger on the internet! I'm sorry you didn't have your family there for the big day but it looked like a beautiful ceremony anyway. My little sister got married to a Japanese guy a few years back and the mixture of Scottish and Japanese customs was great fun, He wore a kilt for the ceremony and she wore a ceremonial kimono for the reception, whole thing was really cute. Two countries with a strong drinking culture though so got a bit messy after that!

Can’t wait to see how the video turned out! I remember the. Videographer guy haha. Thanks for having me on such an important day. I held back so many tears it was beautiful.
  • Beautiful wedding, I cried. I'm from Hawaii, and my wife is from Colombia. We both live in Alaska and have been married 26 years, with one daughter. We have bought two homes in Colombia, where we plan on living on our retirement years. My wife is also a very dedicated Catholic and I'm not religious, but believe in God. Congrats to you both. I am 3rd generation Japanese as well, and my family comes from Hiroshima, survivors from the bombing there. Last name Japanese: Takahashi. I really enjoy your channel. I must learn better Spanish, as we are planning to move in a few years to Colombia, but I'm not so talented with learning. I will try my best. Thanks for your efforts, and quality videos.

I cried so many happy tears for you! I got married during quarantine while my husband was going through military training and we had our ceremony during his lunch break. I hope you guys get to one day celebrate with your family soon! I will always remember your anniversary as weird as that sounds because my birthday is 5/20, Congratulations again!! Here’s to love ❤️
  • In my country if it rains in your wedding it means that you'll have a very long and nice life together! Congratulations 💖

So happy to see there was no compromise between a Western and Japanese-style wedding. Everything was so beautifully done. Wishing you two forever happiness and togetherness! :D
  • It pelted down on my sister's wedding day here in England. It's actually a sign of good luck. You looked absolutely amazing. Belated congratulations.
  • I am Canadian and have been living in France for 32 years. I remember when l got married no one from my family came either. In your case they could not due to the pandemic but in my case it was because no one in my crazy disfunctional family felt it was worth the bother. It did not stop me from having fun. I stayed married 14 years and although we are no longer together as husband and wife, we have remained good friends. I wish you a life time of happiness.

I've been a watcher for a few years now and somehow this feels personal and important to me. Thanks for giving us a window into your life and adventures. You're a beautiful person in so many ways and I'm so happy for both of you. It's such a pleasure to watch smart people making progress in whatever they apply themselves to and I wish you and your husband the best in whatever adventures your married life brings you on.

  • Damn sis. I just watched your first video earlier today and went down a rabbit hole. And now I’m crying 😂 As my dad tells me and my husband, “Take good care of each other!” ❤️

What a beautiful wedding-- having the wedding in the cathedral was awesome. I love how Pearl speaks Japanese (asian languages) and respects other cultures and that Tommy also respected her decision to marry in a Catholic Church! God bless this couple!!! ^_^

OMG, this brings back so many memories of my wedding to my Japanese husband 27 years ago. We had our ceremony here in the U.S., it was so foggy in the morning but the sun came out later and we had a wonderful day with family and friends. We were blessed with his parents and Uncle joining us for the festivities.😊 Wishing you much happiness!
  • @jottomatte
Even though you were stuck in Japan during the pandemic (I remember watching a video of you talking about how you couldn’t return to China at that time), you were able to find the love of your life during the most unexpected time. How cute and congratulations!
  • @whushaw
Absolutely splendid ceremony! Your dress was so pretty as if it came out of a bridal magazine, it suited you perfectly. You both looked so happy here. The joining of two families and traditions was great to see. I hope you both live happily ever after like a fairytale, congratulations! Save me some cake :P

Congrats! I was born in Asia, got married in the US this year. I was fully expecting to not have my parents there for my wedding, but my mom did some magic in the very last moment and flew all the way here. It’s been such a blessing!
