  • I hope you guys enjoyed something I've planned for so long because my whole life I've been laughing at this originally sad scene. But that's what Teh Lurd of Teh Reings is all about. Changing the original movies and making funny content out of it. Please don't worry, we will do various kinds of content in the near future which includes seriously good edits and many ideas I've been collecting for a long time. Thank you for watching and enjoy! Check out our Best videos of 2019 compilation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WQIJIoPZNY Thanks for watching!
  • Turning Theoden's grief-striken sobbing into laughter is both criminal and hilarious.
  • @Danlovar
Even Tolkien deleted this scene in his book.

First 30 seconds: cmon man this scene is too poignant to meme like this. 30 seconds in: can’t breathe
  • @Walangord
I actually loved her singing here. Never thought there would be people disliking it

Everyone gives this scene shit in online communities and it gets so brutally memed. It makes me sad coz I actually think this scene is brilliant. Firstly it helps immerse us is in this culture quite firmly, they dress in black, they bury their dead in small hillocks by their outer palisades, etc. Secondly, with the previous scenes leading up to this one, it shows just how in decline Rohan is, the story is just beginning here and it feels like we have already lost so much. Thirdly and most importantly, the juxtaposition of this scene and the movie before when the elves sing the lament of Gandalf’s fall is excellent. When the elves grieve for Gandalf it is so incredibly beautiful, flawless yet utterly alien. To the point that Sam feels the need to honour Gandalf in his own way, singing a flawed song about his fireworks. It shows the 3 ways these races deal with grief; The hobbits it seems, like to celebrate the life of their fallen, you could almost imagine him standing on a table in the pub singing it; the elves create profound masterpiece Ballads preformed by angelic choir; and Rohan, it seems at least at the moment in their decline, deals with grief in total outward sorrow, using an ancient dead language, further cementing the point that this is truely a people who have seen their golden age come and pass. Eowyn, a highborn lady, sings in such abandoned raw emotion. It’s just so human, so unlike the elves. To me she executes this scene perfectly.

Lol nice try but I really can't see Theoden laughing there, it's actually one of the most heartbreaking cries I've seen on film yet.
  • @lucasda66
Jesus Christ, you ruined this moving scene in the best possible way. 😂
  • @shayposting
You're laughing. Theodred just died and you're laughing.

She still sings better than I do lol. Edit: Then to than. Edit: Stills to still. Edit: Better then me to better than i do. Edit: i to capitalize I. Editing the edits: Capitalising the first letters. Editing the edits: Need a period at the end of each sentence.

And here we are. The darkest side of humour, deeper than mines of Moria.... But i like it. :D
  • @brandonboss6868
0:17 I know it's supposed to look like a laugh, but I cant unsee that scene of him grieving over the passing of his son. I hear "no parent should have to bury their child" in my head.
  • Missed opportunity to take the various shots of people covering their ears and screaming from the Nazghul shrieks and putting them here.
  • @kchaffinch8718
I can't understand why you're laughing. I've seen LOTR for like ten times throughout my childhood before I finally watched the extended version. This scene in particular was like a revelation to me. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking. This was the only scene I really didn't understand why it was removed. Damn, I love her dirge. It's strange how differently people see it
