Its such a tragedy Luther left us at such a young age, way before his God given gift to sing and perform was over. I am such an avid Luther Vandross listener, his music soothes me and puts me in such a relaxed state. For the longest time, I've been listening to Luthers' live performance of Superstar at Wembley and its truly 14 minutes of heaven. Just today I stumbled across the Radio City Music Hall performance of Superstar and as a musician myself, I was so blown away from how fitting the piano solo was. The piano was played by Nat Adderley, Jr. Using an app called DJAY for the Mac, I decided to mix the Wembley performance together with the RCMH piano solo. Although I feel the Wembley performance was a bit better sounding, I couldnt help but find out what it'd sound like if I merged the two. Once I figured it out, I wanted y'all to hear it too :) Enjoy.

    He was one of very few genuine singers in the entire world , that when he sings live concert performances, his unique and memorable voice just sounds like any one of his recorded albums..so real as if he was recording an album. LV was a musical genius and all his vclips on Youtube is the legacy that he has left for everyone of us in real time, and when we are all long gone and in generations to come . I sincerely MISS LV ayaya , he was a great assets to his fans and the entire world. P P.S. Just listening to this vclip is another reminder of what an icon genius he was , he gave 100% in all his live performances .LV was all about his voice, no naked antics required on stage ever, not required. I rock up to my fav LV vclips daily. R.I.P God bless your darling soul LV.

    Genius to put these two Performances ❤️ together. I came to Luther late. I was Performing Opera for 30 years and had no clue. I didn’t know about him until 1998 and missed the chance to see him in Concert. Then he had a massive Stroke 2 years later and died. I'm still heartbroken. 💔 Now I listen to Luther everyday. I want him back❣️

    Great job on the mix. I always listen to Luther with my eyes closed on songs like SUPERSTAR, and on this beautiful mix, I see the girl from the SUPERSTAR music video dancing to Nat's piano solo. Brother, on this mix, I literally teared up. Beautiful job. Simply, beautiful!
