Samual who films most of REN’s video did an interview where he talked about the Losing It. Sam mentioned REN did most of the filming and all the editing himself. Only Ren would hear an EDM track called "Losing It" and challenge himself to create a rap - about beings who lose it - on it (a Ren retake). The whole song is about monsters and killers and musicians, paranormals, etc. It's fun and great to work out to.

I call this one his pop-culture Easter egg hunt!

To me one of the craziest parts of this song is that he put this down over someone else's beat. The beat was "Losing It" from an Australian producer named Fisher and it's wild to listen to the original track and then see what he laid down over it. He did make some small changes here and there but by and large it's the original track. I think he also demonetized this track and put it out just because he loved the beat so much. I'm glad you got to do this one finally, it's a beast! You should check out "What You Want" next, it's a total 90's, Beastie Boys-ish throwback and it's great.

That at the end is an old filmamker technique used back then to shoot scenes in tunnels or railways, so even if the train is still and not moving in the background it would look like the train is coming towards the viewer and is about to hit the person foreground. It is done with a dolly and zooming. If you go forward, you zoom out, if you go backwards you zoom in. You can do it even with your cellphone.
