On the Maryland side of Assateague Island National Seashore bayside sits Bunting's Lodge. An iconic hunting lodge owned by the Bunting Family who owned a nursery and would take their clients waterfowl hunting at the lodge. Over the years I have been doing videos on the house and what it once was, and finally connected with Debbie, who's Uncle owned the lodge. Debbie spent much of her youth at the lodge sharing stories and pictures with me and it has been amazing hearing about her life at the lodge.

You’re so lucky to be in touch with these folks - it’s their legacy and once they are gone - the stories are gone forever - great job doing this and keeping the story and memories alive !!!

Love the video! Thank you for documenting this important history and for your extensive research, time and dedication to this project. You really brought the Buntings lodge to life through the stories, tour of the house and grounds and old pictures! Fantastic!

Your videos are always great but you’ve outdone yourself with these historically informative ones. I’ve been loving these and you should feel incredibly special that these owners are open to giving you so much information on the history. Will be looking forward to the other videos to come. Great work!

It would be great to have this history in a book. Maybe you could look into the possibility. I would buy it. I grew up not far from Ocean City. I miss that part of the country so much. Thank you.

Loved this video. I had a successful 2023-24 season hunting sika deer on Assateague Island. This place has been a getaway of mine for many years now. I enjoy learning about the cultural history of this special barrier island. Never visited any of the old lodges. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to next hunting season. Need to learn how to do some surf fishing next.
