It’s heartbreaking that 1967-1968 will never come again.

In '68, I was an Army medic. Nearly all the medics then were hippies, and we had the longest hair & mustaches in the Army & no one knew our ranks because we wore white uniforms with no insignias that weren't easy to sterilize. No one pulled rank or gave us any shit because everybody's a potential patient! Heh-heh! I had my wife take one of those 'whites' pants & sew them into my jeans to make bell-bottoms for me. Off duty, we'd smoke hash, drop acid and do strange things in the German countryside, or even in town! Even the German hippies couldn't tell we weren't German, but we made friends and conversed in English, listening to music like 'Green Tamborine' and other American stoner music. That rock-and-roll era produced the most awesome music for hippies! This song takes me back to those amazing days... ...must be a flashback!

I was born in ‘63….and I am convinced the 60s was the best period of modern rock/pop music….
-
My dad's favorite song... He passed away July 29th and it makes me feel closer to him
-
Recess brought me here.
-
I watch this while I'm stuck....in my quarantine....
-
I'm tired of people complaining about 60's and 70s fashions. It was cool...bright clothes..sideburns..mini skirts..yellow walls..avocado stoves and refrigerators...shag rugs...pink and green porcelain..The COLOR.. and everything wasn't so damn expensive.

i am sitting here with my daughter of special needs and she really digs this song.
-
Well over 50 years and this is still the best tambourine song ever!
-
Still listening in 2024? You’re a legend 😇😇
-
The lead guitarist is Bill Bartlett, known for Ram Jam's "Black Betty."
-
I was 6 years old. I'm now 61. The song stays with me...
-
Did everyone just collectively remember this song
-
Will never get those years back it was the best time of my life just growing up listening to these songs ❤
-
I always thought the song was an answer to "Mr. Tambourine Man"---"Hey, Mister Tambourine Man--play a song for me?"----and he replied, "Well, listen while I play---My Green Tambourine!"
-
Imagine how different things could be if this music was played everywhere today and today's was gone. You'll never hear this during a drive by shooting.
-
The guitar player is the dude that sang Black Bettie with Ram Jam. That's what sent many of us here.

The 60's just cannot be beaten. Happy days
-
I was born in 1966, and wish I was born early enough to enjoy the 60's
