I travel to Paris for work a lot and when I'm there I ALWAYS make time for a pharmacie shop. These are a few of my favourite brands & products from over the years plus a couple of new finds. Some of the items have been in my kit for longer than I'd care to mention ; ) Although several of these brands are now available in the UK, I still prefer a French Pharmacie shop to buying them in a department store back home - and there is always the excitement of discovering something new! I havent edited this video .... so it is quite long! Hope you find it interesting.

I can’t guarantee that all of the make-up and skincare products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good having tried them on myself and my clients but everyone's skin is different and it's possible to be allergic to anything. Wherever possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.

I only feature products I like, or want to try. The products I use in these videos are either purchased by me or sent to me by make-up companies to use in my professional capacity as a make-up artist for fashion and celebrity photo shoots, red carpet etc. I am also sent products by many of the top magazines to judge for awards.

I do not accept payment and am not sponsored to make any of the films on this channel. Some of the links under the videos and blog posts on my site are affiliated however and as stated before, I only feature products I like, or want to try.

Lisa Eldridge Lisa, can you please do an updated French Skincare Favourites? xxxx
  • @marmeenoir2896
I realise this is an old video and you probably don't have time to read silly youtube comments but thank you so much for this video. I tried a couple of the products you mention and my very sensitive/acne prone/rosacea covered skin has cleared up for the first time in 26 years! Magical :)

I'm an expat living in France and I love French pharmacies too...Bioderma, Avene and Nuxe are my favorite brands!
  • @Theoorigliasso
La-roche Posay is my FAVORITE pharmacy brand! Effaclar duo is my skin savior! And cicaplast b5 is the best moisturizer I've EVER used! I want to buy every single la roche posay product cause they are effective and the price is reasonable! I am also a serum junkie! Yet I've tried only two (l'oreal skin perfection, lancome visionnaire and I think that skin perfection is a cheaper version of visionnaire and it's wonderful!)

My dermatologist recommend I use Bioderma or Avene. They are excellent products and you can usually find them in pharmacies any where in the world. I bought a Nuxe lip balm today and a hand cream, looking forward to using both 😊

You are so intelligent and beautiful! I love listening to you speak because you are full of knowledge!
  • @bbutterfly36
all those brands are very easy to get in Canada. It's a little weird that some of those are impossible to get in the UK even though theyre neighbors.
  • OMG I am sooo glad I found you on youtube. It is a pleasure listening to you speak and the knowledge you impart is soooo helpful. I cannot count the number of products I have tried on my skin to help it while on accutane. I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for sharing this and helping my skin !
  • Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre nourishing moisturiser is the best night cream I have used so far. Only about 17 euros and lasts for ages thanks to its semi-liquid texture, for all skins. Fabulous!

I went to Paris this week for Valentines and quickly watched this video just before I went. My husband booked our hotel and I was ecstatic to discover that we were staying yards away City Pharm, what bliss! Thank you Lisa for the video and your list of fave items.

This is an older video but one which I welcome; between Lisa Eldridge and Justine Leconte i get the best possible advice. I was on a teaching exchange at the Sorbonne, also in the early '90s, lived there for about 3 years. One must adapt to Parisian culture, which like New York, Berlin, Venice are islands in their own way. There is a ceremony when entering a shop; you acknowledge each other and if your accent is acceptable then the conversation will continue in French. The French are very direct, all of them, I was addicted to the Table Ronde, a television series called Apostrophes hosted by Bernard Pivot where everyone spoke at the same time; had to relearn my manners when returning to an anglophone environment. As in Italy if you are trying something on in a shop the salesperson will follow you into the dressing room, not because of distrust but to see if the garment fits etc. So it's a kind of civility. The French are very different from, say the US; they spend a lot of money on skin care and also go to great lengths to appear as if they're not wearing makeup, which can be a formidable task. Very fond memories and life-long friends; hope someone happens on this wonderful video and takes a chance! By contrast, my time in Lausanne involved almost exclusively ex-patriots from somewhere or other, but there the walk around Lac Geneve which could easily last a day was enchanting. Thank you Lisa!

I love your skin care videos, I started using Dermalogica skin resurfacing after watching your video and it has literally changed my life!! my skin has never felt or looked better within 2 weeks daily use and it was not at all irritating for my sensitive skin, I'm really interested in Bioderma!
  • @AsmaFaresOff

My mom gave me a bottle of Nuxe dry oil and I am in love with it. The scent is so lovely. I can't wait until I get to use it every morning. It's something that I'm going to stay stocked up on for the rest of my life I think!
  • @bweird9001
Love your videos. I live in Canada, and the rexall pharmacy sells at least a couple of the brands you mentioned, including Bioderma and Nuxe, in case anyone was wondering.
