An MSNBC prime time panel discusses the argument made by Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson that making the president above any criminal accountability for crimes they may commit in office presents a greater risk of mushrooming criminal activity in the White House than the "chilling effect" that concerns Donald Trump's legal team and their sympathetic justices.

The fact that this topic is actually being debated in the highest court in the land is an affront to the constitution and to the people of the United States.
  • @judybritt6288
Judge Jackson was basically saying: "Power tends to corrupt. Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
  • @sallyvarela
How crazy is it that the Supreme Court is even having to discuss this!
  • Friggin nuts that the other SCOTUS judges are actually debating this. Absolutely mind blowing.
  • @marissar.359
The President of "Law and Order" doesn't want the law to apply to him. Interesting.

It shouldn't just be Justice Jackson being highly concerned with a President having total immunity, it should be the entire Supreme Court 😮
  • @jeffbarney1941
He's not arguing, "I didn't do it." He's arguing, "I should have permission to do it."
  • @vsoraya
Justice Jackson is the only one making sense of this mess, thank you very much for your clarity.
  • @rm-jl8wy
if this were a normal SCOTUS court, this court would not even be heard, it's too ridiculous! But again, this is not a normal court, nor are these normal times.
  • Jackson laid it out! This is the whole case, not the mess the other justices made.
  • @yapdog
Here's a redder flag: We can't have 3 coequal branches of government if the president is above the law! If the justices just focus on that undeniable fact, this whole thing could be done in 1 minute.
  • @moogs
And this is being debated? Unbelievable

Justice Jackson and Sotamayor = THE MOST QUALIFIED

ALL AMERICANS WE NEED TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THEY ARE PROPOSING HERE. THE FACT THAT SCOTUS IS EVEN HEARING THIS CASE IS A LEVEL OF CHICANERY THAT THE JUDICIAL BRANCH HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE!
