I remember the first time I saw a Net enabled phone: Circa 2002, a coworker told me his phone could access the Web. I flat out challenged him on it, because of course I knew you could only access Web from a computer. He whipped out his phone, typed in the URL, and loaded ABC News website. My jaw dropped.

Then only 7 years later the iPhone came out, crazy.

I was 12 in 2002 when i got my first phone - WAP browsing is where i cut my teeth on the internet. Living in a rural area without dedicated internet access through computer, my cell phone was the savior! I could use MSN messenger while i sat on the beach in 2003! It was incredible!

I very rarely talk on my phone anymore. It’s all about the net.

I swear my older brother looked up info about the bulls/Utah game 6 in 1998. Forget what type of phone he had then but he was able to load ESPN on it
