Xion: The Most Underrated Kingdom Hearts Character.

Another big reason I like Xion as a character is because she went out of her way to really find answers about herself (castle oblivion, etc.). When she got said answers, she was given a choice to live on happily with her friends while taking away a "real" person's life in the process, or give the person their life back by her own choice at the cost of her life. She sincerely responds to Riku with one of my favorite lines in the whole series, "So, do you hate me for taking away your friend (nervous smile)?" She not only gave it serious thought (feeling true empathy for both Riku and Sora) but was willing and ready to off herself for Sora, someone she doesn't personally know, but recognizes as more deserving of life than herself. She did all of this with the extra knowledge that no one would remember her afterward. Of the most selfless moments in the series, it's honestly up there with sora's sacrifice and especially ven's urgency to get destroyed in order to protect his friends

Xion is my favorite character from 358/2 Days. She is a great character who doesn't deserve to be forgotten. I wish she was in more games.

I think one important factor to remember is that Roxas and Xion's entire existence began and ended within a span of a year. They were basically zombies at first and had to learn how to exist at all within an organization that gave zero shits about them and treated them like tools. Whenever anyone brings up the fact that their shallow, I feel like they're missing the point. the tf could you not be shallow in such an environment? By the time they died, they were just then finally becoming their own beings and they were snuffed out by horrible circumstance. That's half the reason I want them to be saved in KH3. They never had the chance to truly live their lives, and I really want them to have that freedom.

Xion is the reason i wasable to put up with 358 in all honesty, cuz to me her character was so interesting that i wanted to see her character evolve and it did, as much as i have big time problems with 358's gameplay the story and Xion were the best things about it.

Kind of a wierd concept to me because I've personally never seen hate for Xion necessarily. Then again, maybe I just didn't look hard enough. But as far as Xion goes, she's definitely my favourite female character goes in the series. I definitely enjoyed the friendship she has with Roxas and Axel. And her development throughout the game. Also the bitter sweet end for her character. Definitely some of the best parts for me in 358/2 Days. I would definitely like to see a more updated video in regards to Terra.

Idk why people hate Xion. She's a great character. I admit that her purpose in the story is weird and a bit complicated for no reason and that she was clearly never planned to be in the series from the beginning, but as a character she's pretty great imo.

I think Xion is one of those characters that you come up with because “okay we HAVE to make this plot work somehow” but then as you get into planning you really dive in and make something out of them. As someone who likes to write, there’s a lot of characters that were meant to be one-offs/throw aways that I ended up pouring a lot of time into as I kept coming up with ideas until eventually they became central to the story. I feel like Xion was probably made in a similar manner and I’m certain that she’ll have a role to play in kh3.

Yes, someone said it. I for one think Xion is really relatable and likeable based on her desicions and development in the game. Glad someone gets it.

I haven't even watched this video yet, but YES. I am so tired of wasting hours of my time logically explaining why Xion isn't nearly as bad of a character as she's made out to be. In fact, she's my favorite. If this video covers every reason and rebuttle I have up my sleeves then I'm just going to direct people here from now on, and if not... well then I'm done. Because I can't keep debating this anymore. Well... no, this didn't even cover half of my points, but there's no way in hell I'm writing all my arguments and counterarguments here because, well, I don't want to. This is a good video though, and I enjoyed watching it. So thank you for making it! (AHHHHHHH MADE IN ABYSS!!! YES!!) EDIT: Okay, this is going to sound... really stupid, but just know that I don't want any debates. If you don't like Xion then I'm happy for you. We don't have to feel the same way about anything. For me Xion is my second favourite character in the series but she is my favorite female character in the series.

Yea I never got the Xion hate either. She’s not my favorite character but I still like her. Personally I think her arc during Days was far more interesting than Roxas’. Once she found out her true nature she set out to find answers and once she knew what she had to do she did it without hesitation. Roxas didn’t really do anything until Xion died. Do I think that she was bland? At the beginning of the game she was and so was Roxas but once you got to know them and they’re personalities started to shine through that changed. Do I think she was just a device for Roxas’ character development? Well yea, Roxas was the main character and as such he needed the motivation to turn on Org 13. However this doesn’t make Xion a bad character, she just serves her purpose like every other character in the story; to act as a catalyst for the development of the main character. While also having her own development in the process. Also yes I would like to see you redo that Terra video.

I don’t hate Xion, but I’ve never been drawn to her character as much as I have with say Roxas or Sora. She’s just ok to me. Despite this though, I stand behind the fact that her character arc is one of the best in the series. Not to mention her theme & Vector to the Heavens are amaaazinggg. Seeing her introduction and then her conclusion in Days really drove the point home for me. I didn’t cry when she “died” but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t feel anything towards her by the end.. I honestly don't get the hate either. Yeah, she isn't the best character, but I still love her like I do all the others. I can't really think of anything I really disagree with in this video, but there were some points I thought you could've expanded on. One thing I can't wait for is seeing her come back just so I can see how the genuine haters react. Yeah, people will make their jokes, but I'm talking about the ones who honestly hate her as a character.

I agree with your points and I love Xion so much, her character was relatable too. oh Please Remake your Terra video! I have no idea for the life of me why Terra is so hated. He's also a character I enjoy a lot.
