A year after buying a BEYOND totaled Dodge Demon at salvage auction for just under $20k, we've brought it all the way back from the dead!

CHECK OUT THE WORLD'S FIRST DEMON TRUCK BUILD! -    • BUILDING THE WORLD'S FIRST DODGE DEMO...

Today we get the Demon started, driven and dyno'd for the first time! It might have taken a few spare Challenger Hellcats for parts (and one Redeye..) but we can OFFICIALLY say we've built the world's first manual Dodge Demon!

Have a wild Mopar build story of your own? Maybe you've bought a totaled Hellcat or Demon to turn into your dream car? Be sure to tell the story in the comments!

@scraplifegarage Congrats Lee! I snuggled up on the couch with a cooler containing my future kidney and we watched the video together. Worth waiting for.
  • @zylieks5341
ngl who else been camping this channel for this video lol
  • @j.ressler395
This series of videos about the demon is what made me subscribe.
  • Don’t sweat it Lee! I worked in the collision repair industry for many years, and was one of the only automotive electricians at just about every shop I have ever worked at! Your “crude diagram” is exactly the way I would have done it! It doesn’t need to be beautiful, it just has to make sense to you!

UPLOAD!!! Literally just decided to check the channel again to see if another demon video was out. lo and behold. Glad to see it built, Done is a word rarely used on this channel.
  • @JStryker7
Now make the first Pacifica Demon with a manual
  • @UAlrKnoWhoItIs
I love that you show your troubleshooting and mistakes. Most people would cut it out but it adds a lot more personality and realism to the video. Much respect and keep up the great content bro

There's a guy in Saudi who has a hellcat engine in a 68 dodge charger with a manuel transmission, absolute clean build (home made mostly)
  • @rx7jms
Heck yeah! Been watching since the start.
  • @steelwheels327
Impressive Lee , you don't give yourself enough credit you're a pretty good mechanic and a lot of blood , sweat & tears with it ...i'd never get rid of it
  • @AutoAuctionUSA
Holy smokes! This build is insane! From a fiery wreck to a fire-breathing monster, you brought this Demon back to life and gave it a whole new heart (and transmission)! The perseverance through all the electrical gremlins and random problems is truly inspiring. Huge congrats on getting this beast running and making over 800hp! Can't wait to see what future upgrades you have planned! :face-purple-wide-eyes:

Im really curious to see where this channel will be in a few years. I think these guys will get a lot more comfortable on camera showing off their personalities a lot more.

Please add another couple ground straps to the motor from the chassis!!!!!!!! It’s starting slow and will only burn up the alternator, the red eyes, demons require extra grounds. Also, don’t forget to make sure launch control and the line lock work

I've been following this build since it began, I'm so glad I was able to see this through. Lots of thought put into it, lots of soul too. I learned a lot myself about rebuilding, the process of swapping harnesses and electronics and fuel and even things I never would have thought about. Makes me appreciate my little Daytona 392 that much more.
  • @7seriesmax
Congratulations. You know it’s making power when you can’t hear the blower whining. Coolest build of 2024.
  • @eam4486
As an owner of a 2015 M6 Hellcat and an overall lover of anything manual trans, I've been super excited for this day! So happy for you Lee! 100% worth the blood sweat and tears. Can't wait for future updates about it!

9:25 yeaaaaaa....finally get to hear the Phoenix breathing fire...awesome job guys...all the hard work that you have put into the car paid off...button it up and go rippin...😅
  • @RipRoaringGarage
THANK YOU!!!!! I had the exact same problem with my Crown Vic. No crank. Eventually, I watched my own footage and found that the car would crank with the jumper connected to the bell housing. Not the body, so I found my engine ground strap to be toast. I have been looking for a YEAR (maybe more) to find the right size o ring and cable, and just a glance from yours set me down the Mopar path, to a custom ground strap that was identical to mine, down to the exposed copper. I just ordered them and I can start my baby. Big win for me too!
