I’m going to pick Typhlosion. The new design grew on me and it’s typing is really cool. Also I actually like the fact that Typhlosion is more calm and chilled out compared to its original form. It’s gives it a bit more personality compared to the other starters.

One of the coolest aspects of the new Pokemon party system is the do-away with TM/HM. You can swap your Pokemons moves on the go. What that means is... as they unlock, they don't get forgotten in place of another one. You simply swap it out.

I think they're all good in their own unique way, it depends on which Pokémon works best with it.

I never really was a Samurott fan. But I have to say, even when the changes in the design are very small, I absolutly fell in love with the new Samurott. Absolutly love the new colors. They look soo great. And the signature move just looks so sick. So I am Team Oshawott this time!

I love how Samurott was probably getting one of the most hate before this game started to being one of the coolest evolution lines in Arceus. Shoutout to all the O.G that loved Samurott before 👍🏾

Rowlet 100%, I'm in love with hisuian Decidueye 😍

I feel like this lineup is the one that's had the most even distribution. I'm going Rowlet but I've heard a lot for Cyndaquil and Oshawott too.

I’m stuck between Decidueye and Samurott. I was leaning towards Decidueye but the move set and potential team of Samurott is pushing me in that direction.

I initially decided on Rowlet, but might go for samurott for 2 reasons. 1, he seems pretty cool, and was my first unova starter 2, I want to use lucario since he's my favorite pokemon and don't want two fighting types

Based on this video/analysis, I’m seriously considering choosing Samurott this time around. It’s got better stats, the best signature move, and has the pairings I was hoping for. I don’t really care about Basculegion or Avalugg, because tbh they’re two of my least favorite regional variants besides the starters. I’m really excited about Kleavor, Zoroark, Overquil, Braviary, and Ursaluna.

I was going for Rowlet but after seeing the final evolutions, I was heavily disappointed with it. I’m definitely going Samurott now, Typhlosion was a close second but I already decided on Arcanine for my main fire type on my team.

Personally going to go with Cyndaquil, paired with a luxray and use Thunder Wave as a status could be beneficial

My friends and I tend to decide our partners at random, but this time around they chose and I ended up with Oshawatt. And I could not be happier since I love Dark Types

I've never been a fan of Samurott, especially over the other Unova starters, but Hisuian Samurott does it right! I like all of their designs, but I think Samurott wins out for me

I will go with Oshawott. As much as I would love to have a Fire/Ghost Typhlosion since Ghost is one of my favorite types, I have more nostalgia for Samurott since I used one in White 2. Plus, I have a cousin around my age range who loves Typhlosion as he grew up with gen 2. That left me with either Rowlet or Oshawott. The choice is fine with me since I love water and dark types. Aside from my starter, the new hisuian pokemon that I am considering are Goodra, Zoroark, Sneasler, Electrode, and Arcanine. This may change, but I am feeling confident that this will be my final team.

After the designs of the final evos got revealed; I’m currently debating between Oshawott and Rowlet. I love Cyndaquil’s line, and while H-Typhlosion looks hilarious with its face (as if it got back from a bar 😂), I don’t it’s my personal pick. If I go with Rowlet, it gives me a reason to use Basculegion and H-Arcanine without since Typhlosion and Samurott won’t be there to overlap the typing. But then I realize that Hisuian-Liligant, a form given to a Unova Grass Type that I adore and honestly needed something to enhance its movepool, ends up being Grass/Fighting as well…

Rowlet was my choice from the beginning, and that hasn’t changed. He’s giving me Raiden vibes with his final evolution, and I love that. As far as my team goes Hisuian, Arcanine, Zoroark, and Ursaluna are all going to be on my team.
