What rules have you used in your own life?
  • Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future even till now my wife and I earn passively with our asset coach. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!

My friend (a pilot) always says "If there's doubt, there's no doubt" - really simplifies my whole life
  • I’ve tie dyed all my white clothes because of stains, or possibility of stains. I enjoy wearing them much more now.
  • "If it's not 100% heck yes, then it's a no" IS A GAMECHANGER. I hear a lot of people saying to ask if it sparks joy but some of us need a push that's a little less kind lol
  • I edit my relationships, I match the energy put forth where as before I would do all the work.
  • There's more to minimalism than just unload baggage. Essentialism and simplicity are the mindful side of minimalism. If there's not focus on what's vital then it's hard to be content with just minimizing. A friend once said if the end result is the same do it easiest way possible.

Even at 67 this makes lots of sense to me. I’ve mostly lived my life this way. Now passing you on to loved ones! Thank you for your energy & clarity! Best to you & your family. Enjoy!
  • Love how minimalism is so connected to essentilsm. More broad topics like this. Please. 💖💙

Gabe, you have become my favorite youtube channel as of late. I needed help simplifying my life and I find a ton of encouragement and help watching your content. Thank you for putting this out into the world, it is really needed. Also congrats on the kiddo, I have three, and I am a single father so your insights have helped me a ton trying to manage a household. And awesome that you are a man of faith, I will keep watching and keep learning, thank you brother.
  • Quality over quantity first and foremost. Switch 80:20 with 90:10 until equilibrium is reached. Resonance is relevant cost is not. Ask your soul not an external source what is right for you. Less is not the goal. More is. Focus on what you want more of.
  • Love what you said at the end about folding laundry. I've made it a habit for many years to bring my ironing board into the loungeroom and iron and fold laundry in front of the tv. It's been so nice. I actually enjoy doing the laundry now. Guilt free Down time watching YouTube and very productive. Win win. Great video as always Gabe.

I PAID 1-800-GOT JUNK to emptied out my 880sq ft apartment, and I moved to Queretaro,Mexico on 11-2-2021. USA became too deadly and expensive for this 79 years young lady. I have a 100% furnished apartment, that includes ALL utilities and maid service in a gated community. The people have been super nice, and they are respectful, as I am also. I did not have Junk, but controlled memories all in Rubber Maids. I have index cards and I know everything, that was removed, and I miss nothing. The index cards had the location, RM#, and contents within Ziplock bags. I do speak Spanish as a second language, and have lived and visited Mexico for almost 60 years, as well as all 50 states, and all over the world on my own dime from WORKING. I am a giver to non beggars to help themselves, and not a greedy takr, as most people are today. I was raised better. Put a d before anger, and you get danger. Karma never loses an address. I love your videos. This was my easy Swedish Death Cleansing. lol

These days when I ask how long to people who say that they’ve had something for ages, it turns out ages for them means two years (like Gabe says). I’ve had the same clothes for 20/30 years (some bought second hand). Both quality and quantity matter!
  • Gabe, I’m going through a toxic breakup with a friend/mentor right now. I guess it’s time to “edit” my life. If he had been acting like this 5 years ago, I would have said no today to a friendship with him.
  • @ellenh278
"What would this look like if this were easy?" Brilliant. Thanks.
  • Just started essentialism yesterday, was debating between essentialism and effortless, and I ran into this video! Love the book so far.
  • I have not read that book yet but it’s on my list! I can totally see the quality of your videos shoot up but I have to say, I knew the content of quality was always there (what you were saying). Go Gabe! I think what had me was not many people that come from humble beginnings, are business minded, have spouses that are completely on board - because hello, y’all are both on the same team, that’s essential right there and then minimalism! Boom! Y’all are rocking! Go Team Bult!

I have two friends with full basements loaded with junk. I suggested one get rid of five rusty or moldy items each day. The other has decided to sell her house and I am bringing boxes to fill with paperback romances for our local library. A quilting group is coming for her fabric. She has lots of tools and closet and storage items, too. I am the only minimalist among my friends, I'm 72. Tina, Al's wife
