  • I was stationed in the Army in 1959-60 with Elvis in Germany….he was a regular soldier and neither asked or received any special consideration despite his fame

I was a young married woman when Elvis passed away. I was at work when someone brought the news in. We all just sat there, looking at each other. The word "shocked" didn't even come close. He was at his very best in this 1968 concert. It's how I like to remember him.
  • The whole comeback special was amazing. The man has stage presence!! This special showcase how truly amazing he is!
  • They made Elvis clean it up for TV. He wasn't called "Elvis the pelvis for nothin'."

God sprinkled some special stardust on this man. He was gorgeous, charming, well mannered, deeply spiritual. He had stage performances that were groundbreaking. His voice was amazing, especially in his gospel songs. He was a rebel. He has sold over a billion records!
  • My dad loved Elvis. My parents saw Jailhouse Rock at the theater on their first date. 15 to 20 years later, my dad called a radio station to answer an Elvis trivia question while home sick from work one day. Because he got the answer right, they wanted him to come down to the radio station with 2 other finalists for a live Elvis trivia quiz show. My dad won and he and my mom won a trip to Memphis and got to tour Graceland. We live in Kansas and had no money for travel, so this was the first and only time my dad got to go. My dad passes away on my birthday a couple years ago from covid. We fot a puppy about a year later and decided to name him Elvis in honor of my dad. My son and i realized later that Elvis has a little white lightening bolt on his forehead. I had to explain TCB to my son, but it just seemed to be meant to be. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane.

I loved the fictional account in the movie “Forrest Gump” where Elvis got his signature “pelvic thrust” from watching little Forrest dance with his leg braces on. It just reinforces Elvis’ impact on American culture.
  • I remember the day he died. The entire world stopped, everyone loved him so much. 😢
  • He looks so healthy here, hard to believe he would be gone in only 9 years!
  • 47 years ago, he passed, why he's the King, no one has even come close his talent. No one will either.

Watched this when it first aired. It was an EVENT! While families gathered around the TV. Ours did. He crossed over generations.

He was 33 years old in 1968. I'm so happy you're finally reacting to Elvis. I love Elvis so much and I can't get enough of Elvis. Most beautiful and talented man ever. He's one of a kind...I love Elvis forever ❤❤❤❤

I fell for Elvis when I was 3. 60 years later still loving him! He could sing anything & his rabbit hole is deep & worth a deep dive. Got his Grammy for Gospel. He was one of those rare singers that sounded as good live as recordings. Recommend Trying to Get to You from the same concert, You Lost That Loving Feeling,& Bridge Over Trouble Water, etc❤❤❤❤❤
