Published 2024-03-30
Crushing Hammers With 300 Ton Hydraulic Press inside our new concrete bullet proof bunker with bullet proof windows and ar500 roof and door! The hammers exploded with such a force that it generated seismic waves / local earthquake resulting in noise pollution and shaking windows around the neighborhood :D So don't try this at home!

You can now buy your own hydraulic press through us! Press inquiries [email protected]
Here is the link where you can check out standard Profi Press models rhtc-workshoppress.com/ and if you need special custom made machine just send email and Profi Press engineers will design machine that suits your needs.

I think it says something that not only does your work cause the whole area to shake, but your neighbours know exactly who to go complain to.
  • I think we are making progress towards creating that black hole people have been talking about :D
  • @delphicdescant
"What were you doing to make all that noise?" "Crushing Hammers" "You mean crushing things with hammers?" "I said what I said."

Pro-tip. To find damage on the walls easier, paint it first one angry color, then a second white color. When you damage the wall, the bottom layer of paint will be exposed more visible.
  • Lmao the single piece of the hammer managing to hit directly in the little camera's face was truly a "screw you in particular" moment

Its time for the huge ceramic baring ball to return

I really like the idea of putting the dates and the experiment title on each of the marks on the bunker walls. It’s almost like a timeline or reminder of all the destruction

Camera Hire Technician here. That NANLITE soft box will just get more holes, the more you crush. Take off the soft box COMPLETELY and save that as it’s quite expensive. Get yourself a Roll of F2 / 250 Frost lighting Gel on a roll. (Around €60) Gaffer tape a 2 foot by 4 foot piece to a metal square, it’s called a Trace Frame if you Google it. When something blows through it, just cut another piece off that roll and replace it. (You’ll get about 6 frames out of a roll) It’s going to be more cost effective doing this due to all the shrapnel flying round. (You could even make it a 4 x 4 frame and give that light a little bit more protection) Hope this helps.

I've not laughed so hard for a long time. Haha. Seismic activity shaking your neighbours windows. Absolutely classic. Congratulations

You were right, the old hammer was the best! Invite your neighbour over to watch the mayhem!
  • You may want to detach the control box from the press and mount it to the wall if the cables are long enough. The shock and vibration from exploding stuff is going to eventually damage the circuit boards in the control box.

This video single-handedly made all that effort into building the bunker worth it! Can't wait to see more like this once you have the stuff you mentioned done.

I recently saw on TV that Finns are the happiest people on earth. Watching this channel I see why. Non stop fun!
  • @Innerspace100
That last one is a major step towards Finland's new and dangerous "Perkele Bomba"...
  • @wzdew
Absolutely terrifying how much the press moves around. So much energy being released. If it looks scary on video, I can only imagine how it must feel in person.

I think Profi Press is proving its capabilities and rugedness with this one.

Also, I have to leave 1 more comment, look into have naval warships mount heavy machinery to the deck. They have ready made brackets, plates and massive springs just for machinery like this. They have these springs for big computers so the ship bobbing up and down in the sea doesnt wreck the thing. It can handle a tremendous amount of weight. They make them for huge ammo racks that hold several tons.

I really like how you've chosen to edit this, showing the press, and then showing your reactions to it. I like the reaction shots.

High performance hydraulic load frames for shock absorber testing (e.g. MTS landmark) have engineered isolation bases to minimize the loads transferred into the floor - you might take some inspiration from them
