Hey Booktube! Finishing series shouldn't be this difficult but here we are. I've been enjoying these books and I need to finish them asap. Mostly fantasy ones because let's be real they're always so long and intimidating...

Charlie: All black with no thumbs. He thinks he's spiderman and climbs in the window screens. His favorite snack is wtv book I'm currently reading.
Clawdia: Black and white with a beauty mark. She has thumbs... wouldn't surprise me if she stole them. She's pure chaos but she purrs and cuddles me so it's fine.
Chunky: Black with a white patch on his chest. Has thumbs. Needy, crusty, whiny baby... can't live without him.

  • What series do you need to finish ASAP? Which ones should I focus on?

Sanderson recently confirmed that in his mind he is pretty much committed to doing a cyberpunk era for mistborn, bringing the total number of eras to 5.

Personally, I’m trying to wait until series are complete before i start reading them because then it makes it easier to just read all the books at once. Lots of series here I’d also like to read lol

It will be 8-10 years before we get Stormlight 6 according to Brandon Sanderson, which really sucks. There will be a in universe timejump of about 10 to 15 years as well. We will be following some characters that don't get a lot of POVs in the first half of the series (i. e. Jasnah, Renarin, Lift) and the main characters of the first five books that are still around will be secondary characters. Book 5 will end the first arc of the story, but we will only really get the end in Stormlight 10. I really hope the end of book 5 is satisfying enough because it's really a lot of time to be waiting for the next book.

I read The Tainted Cup and had such a great time with the murder mystery/fantasy blend. I need to give City of Stairs a try now.

I just finished my re-read of "Black Sun" and "Fevered Star" and I cannot wait for "Mirrored Heavens". I think "Between Earth and Sky" is going to be one of my favorite trilogies of all times. I am saving "The Burning Kingdoms" for Autumn so I can read them back to back, just in time for "The Lotus Empire".

I stopped reading unfinished series, at least for novels. I still read ongoing manga, but I have a rule to only read finished arcs. I used to pick up books as soon as they come out to give them the love and hype they deserve. But I'm over it now. I served my time and fulfilled my duty towards the bookish community 😂 Let GenZ take over. This millennial wants less angst in her life 🧘

As someone who's read through Wheel of Time twice in its entirety, I think the ending is ABSOLUTELY worth it. Sanderson knocked it out of the park. I remember the first time I read it I was crying so much I couldn't see the letters on my kindle 😂😂. It makes me really excited for Stormlight, like I know what Sanderson is capable of and I don't think any of us is ready

I just finished the Cosmere and I am concerned that you will stop at Oathbringer…my fav books in the Cosmere are Rhythm of war and Words of Radiance tied. Oathbringer was not my favorite, but trust me it’s worth it to get to book 4

I actually just read the sequel to the Jasmine Throne this month (The Oleander Sword). It was so intense! Battles, betrayals, angst! Better than the first. I hope you love it

I really love this videos! Emily talking about so many books 🤩 My TOP 3 for you is: 1. Sanderson 2. Napolitan 3. The post apocalyptic one

I'm reading just for the summer right now. OMG so good I love Abby!

I am so excited for The Fury of the Gods and The Lotus Empire. I started and finished the first two books in both of those trilogies this year and I will drop everything the day they get released 🫡 I’m 50/50 on whether or not I burn through a series quickly. Sometimes I spread them out because I’m worried about burnout or putting myself in a slump, especially if they’re heavy books.

Not Harrow the Ninth being absent from this list 😭😂
  • I definitely don't want to binge-read series back-to-back (I like to break up what I read in style, genre, etc.), so yeah, I'm one of those people who start a series then end up realizing I've read the first book of, like, 20 series. 🤦‍♀ I'm currently working my way through the Lady Astronauts by Mary Robinette Kowal, the Lady Trent series by Marie Brennan, and the Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan. As for the ones I'm not currently working my way through...let's not talk about those.

I loved black sun, it was so good!!! Sadly I wasn’t the biggest fan of the second book, it felt a lot like a filler book. But I’m hopeful for the third one!
  • @hannahollihan
The third book in the Divine Cities is my FAVORITE! I hope you love it!
