"Somebody pushes me, I push back." Always loved that line.
  • "I have a new challenge for you, Sark. Bring me an...SHRUBBERY!"

You haven't really seen this movie unless you saw it in the theater. Happy birthday David Warner.
  • I like the look of the MCP on the screen in this scene better than him as a big red tube at the end.
  • You know, for the *longest* time, I never realized that this scene (and even scenes with Dillinger talking to the MCP) were basically David Warner talking to himself. Of course this was years and years ago, before I actually started reading the end credits.
  • Just beat these guys on KH2.5 last night, one of the coolest fights in the game. Seeing giant Sark get back up and start plodding towards you was so menacing. Love this movie and I think the special effects still look pretty good today

Jeff Bridges is most definitely a user. He was arrested in 1982 for possession of MCP.

I forgot that Sark was pushed into all of this.

You're getting brutal,Sark;brutal and needlessly sadistic.
  • Few actors portray arrogance and cruelty better than David Warner. Perhaps John Colicos came the closest. Both can be downright painful to watch.

Man! 2 of the most awesome lines in sci-fi history; No one user wrote me, I'm worth millions of their man years. and I want him in the games till he dies playing. This was the first film I ever saw in a cinema at 10 years old and it still make's me tingle watching it; it began my long love of space and sci-fi, love it :-).
  • I have to wonder. Did MCP specify that Flynn had to die playing in the games because he couldn't kill him any other way? We see that as a User Flynn can survive events that would see a program derezzed, and even subvert or reconstruct defunct programs, such as the Recogniser or the Carrier. However, in a game, by participating however unwillingly he is restricting himself to the rules of the game, including dying if he loses. Just a theory. A Game Theory!

Sark: What kind of program is he? MCP: Not a program at all. He's a user. THUNK MCP: ...What was that, Sark? Sark: Sorry, I... I just sh$$ a brick.
  • That's David Warner doing both sides of the conversation as Sark AND the Master Control Program, right?
