Historical Whiskeytown cemetery outside Redding was devastated by Carr Fire

Volunteers had previously planned to clean the area in September, but will now come with the intention to rebuild.

  • My wife's grandparents and uncle are buried there she and I go there often. Bless you for what you're doing, we live in Shasta Lake as well and would like to help if we can.

    Thank you for what you're doing! My sisters' dad is buried there, the one you focus on with the beers. I put a lot of sweat and tears into building the border around his resting place, trying to make it beautiful for my Mom and sisters when they visit. I appreciate the fact that it still stands, however, it's still a pretty devastating situation surrounding it.
