/* ---- VIDEO INFORMATION ---- */

Ok so Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 feels like a home run for the MCU. After a lot of underwhelming projects recently it did feel like the franchise had somewhat lost it's appeal.

Instead of the heart and creativity that had once made the franchise special we were reduced to what felt like products coming off an assembly line. Whether it was in the cinemas or on the shows, it just seemed like Marvel were bombarding us with a lot of medicority where the focus had solely been on making as much money as possible.

We've had Ant-man and The Wasp Quantumidia, Multiverse of Midness and many more.

There's a lot of talk of superhero fatigue at the moment and with Marvel being the biggest producer of content in the genre it felt like thisonce gigantic juggernaut had somehwat lost it's way.

It's the same thing that has unfortunately happened with Star Wars and whereas these films once felt like major events that you couldn't miss out on, people are happy to skip them now because they don't feel like they really matter.

The...the midilorian?

Now you know I love comic books but it had even got to a point where I thought that things were getting way too oversaturated and there weren't any stories that felt like they innovated and raised the bar. I was talking with the Canadian Lad about this last week and we got onto how many projects there were coming out and how it's also really cringey when Youtubers name drop other youtubers to make themselves sound important.

What makes this sequence so meaningful is seeing the bond that holds them together after a runtime of keeping these characters apart.

That hallway fight scene was 🔥🔥🔥
  • I loved this scene. It perfectly showed off each of their different abilities and chemistry together. It was so good. And the scene that came after it with Rocket and the High Evolutionary was absolute perfection
  • That corridor scene was one of the best action scenes Marvel has ever put out

GoTG has the best Trilogy in the MCU. I used to think Capt did, but it was only because of 2 movies. I love all three of the guardians movies, Gunns use of music is amazing. I’m excited to see what he does over at DC
  • I don't remember crying this much in a marvel movie. The movie was really full of heart and emotion. I love guardians of the galaxy and every single movie has a special place in my heart but this one definitely triumphs even its predecessors. All of the characters were so good and they were all very important for the plot. Seeing nebula becoming a person who is looking out for others and helps others without expecting anything in return, mantis becoming a more fleshed put and deep character, quill and his inability to move on from gamora's passing until the end, rocket's past. They all really pierced my heart like an arrow. I especially became a fan of mantis after this movie. She feels like her own character now instead of being a sidekick of the guardians, she serves a meaningful purpose for the plot and her emotional moments are so strong. Every single scene she cried, i cried with her. Not to mentions she's so adorable and sweet. I remember like yesterday when she first met guardians and helped them defeat ego, and joining them afterwards. She went from a person who was too naive and always needed others's guidance to do something to a person who wants to discover herself and her place in the universe and she is not afraid of being alone anymore. Such a good character development in my opinion. I really love guardians of the galaxy and they have such a special place in my heart, the scene where they disbanded and honored rocket as the new leader with the gesture, I cried so hard, because it wasn't just them parting ways with each other, it was also us parting ways with them. It was like saying goodbye to our childhood and teenager years. The only thing left that connected me to my youth is now gone, and i don't think the mcu will ever be the same for me anymore with the absence of guardians.

I loved how the slow motion team walk mirrored the guardians standing up as a team in the first film but was a backwards reflection. while first he was the most reluctant to risk his life, this time it's Rocket leading the charge. Before Gamora was quick to move to heroism but now she's the last one to accept responsibility. And Nebula who was a solitary villain, is now one of the first to March with her new found family.
  • I liked this scene for a different reason. When Rocket says that he's done running and turns to go fight. The others all automatically turn to join him, apart from Gamora, who initially protests that they're all going to die. This shows their bond as a family, because what matters to Rocket matters to all of them. So they immediately back him up without question. This Gamora doesn't have that bond with them so hesitates at first.

The scene was amazing, but specifically the slow-mo shot of Rocket in the air shooting his blaster @6:23 was absolutely perfect. I legit teared up with joy at that moment in the theater.
  • @garyjones3896
That scene was perfect and I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw Gunn’s vision
  • @tulip7903
i could watch this scene over and over again. i would loveeee to hear the team explain how they choreographed it cuz it was mind blowing to me. i feel like action sequences can blur together these days but nebula’s neck, the shot thru the hole in the body, and other moments were literally iconic
  • @fightmatrix
Another thing that stood out for me about the scene is that, Gamora enters the scene last due to her not really wanting to, but having to get involved. Even then, due to the cohesiveness of the rest of the Guardians team, the scene ends up with Gamora right at the foreground or the end of the hall. Meaning that due to the Guardians teamwork, they’ve cleared a path for Gamora to go from the back to the front even if she was a lone wolf through it.. hope that makes sense 😊
  • The most epic part is when all the guardians follow Rocket without saying anything. When he said "Im done with running" and whole team start to follow him, it's not only about the rescue but they want a revenge for Rocket too. And the music kick in make the scene step in the whole new level of epicness
  • I truly had avengers vibes during that fight scene. Each of the guardians getting its own bit of screen time during the fight really was epic. That along with epic music Amazing
  • @PurplBunny
It was a perfect way to exit to a rival studio, Gunn showing them what they're gonna miss. They had the perfect cast. Everything falling into place in this film set up a grandslam 👏
  • @marklesko2620
I loved this scene. The buildup. All the guardians joining Rocket. Even Gamora becoming a Guardian again even if just for a bit. The the song. Epic. The doors open and wow! Best mini-battle scene ever. The choreography was perfect. The movie was great but this scene I could watch over and over. Only rivaled by the first time the Avengers assembled in the first Avengers movie. It was just perfect
  • It's also how the guys were all fired up and in the zone... in a way I've rarely seen. Pure choreography perfection 🥰
  • @bawsnitti
That was arguably the best scene I've seen in any Marvel movie how he pulled that off was genius Pure genius and he might just be the goat
  • That hallway one take fight scene was so epic! Def a standout scene and must have been so hard to accomplish!
