The Xbox Series consoles are now 3 years old and how most AAA games run upscaled from 1080p, the age of the hardware is showing. Especially looking at Xbox's First Party full next generation games pushing the visuals beyond video games into real life.
Leaks from trusted insiders point to Xbox jumping ahead to next generation far earlier in 2026 with the Xbox Series X2 console. A concept for the all-digital Xbox Series X in 2024 is still likely to reduce the margin loss on console, but in 2021 Phil Spencer explained in an interview that the Xbox hardware team was developing the next Xbox console. Before we talk about what would power the Xbox Series X2, we need to discuss Xbox place in the console market.

If Xbox or PlayStation do release a next gen system, it better do 4K and 60fps(or higher) natively, otherwise both companies are just a joke and milking gamers for their cash.

6 years between consoles is perfect. The mentality "Next Gen" needs to shift. Phones, TVs, Tablets, PC components are all upgraded every year and each upgrade can be considered "Next Gen". Any longer than 6 years drags on and feels left in the dust of PC capability. Life is short friends. I want to be able to count the "Generations" on more that both hands in my life time 😅
