Don't know how representitive I am of the average audience member here, but a build video of that tank falls well within the types of videos I tend to watch, so I'd love to see it.
  • @DavidSap
Adam not so subtly testing the waters to see if his cooking focused audience will follow him to aquarium life. We will Adam. Do it. Build it and we will come.
  • @ianriley5893
as an avid aquarist, seeing adam’s slow transformation into a fish guy is extremely fun and entertaining
  • If Adam’s channel becomes a multi-topic/hobby channel I'm here for it!
  • @MoneyChanger02
As someone from the foodie camp, I must say I am liking the “Aquarium Arc” and would be happy to see it continue
  • @marcberm
I'm in for the fish tank build. Believe it or not, there's a subset of your audience who are here for the Adam Ragusea content rather than food content. Make what you like and it'll shine through.

Like I suspect of many YouTube consumers, I fixate on a few creators at a time, get burned out, then ignore them for months until they resurface in my rotation. I literally thought I would get his usual considered opinion on the best pairing with white rice, but rather than be disappointed I stayed and watched the whole thing with interest! This is the kind of stuff that keeps creators fresh and I'm glad he's homing in on the right calibration so he can sustain his channel.

Hi Adam! i love your videos and as someone who lives in Indonesia, we eat a lot of rice fish in our daily diet and i feel like you represented this very well. Usually we would just deep fry the rice fish with some spices and eat them with a side of sambal and rice. I hope you can fully utilise the versatility of rice fish as i think it's an underrated protein. Thank you and Have a great day :)

I'd love to see the build video, and more fish content in general (either cooked or in an aquarium)
  • @drzonlyjonas323
YES DO IT. I started watching you as single poor grad student wanting to learn how sustain myself with homecooked meals. I stayed for the science lessons. I stayed for the podcast. And I'll stay for the aquarium era. I just think i like watching YOUR content no matter what it is.
  • @TheDeer.
I love how Adam isn’t afraid to explore other interests on his channel, seeing the build video would be great!

I raised a lot of fish when I was young (guppies and tropicals; no goldfish, although my kids won goldfish at the Oktoberfest midway games every fall, and they lived forever because I insisted we keep a well-maintained tank), but it's been years since I've had a tank. All the fish vids lately have been great; count me in for the build video. You definitely have me thinking about starting a new tank, and I'd really like to try my hand with some Medaka.

As an amateur aquarium keeper, I never expected Adam to start making content on fish! I'd like to see the build video!!
  • @ThatArrow
“Do you want to see the build video?” Yes, definitely, AntsCanda is one of my favorite channels and they sparked my interest for these kind of videos. I think expanding on non-food related subjects Adam takes interest in will be good in the long run
  • @unseen370
Nice! I've been keeping Ricefish about 2 month now, trying to get a colony of both Daisy Orange Medaka, and Sparkling Blue Medaka. Might play around with cross-breeding the lines once I've got my colonies going. Loving the aquarium content Adam!

The grain crop that typically yields the highest calories per acre is corn (maize). Corn is known for its high carbohydrate content, which contributes to its high caloric density. This makes it an efficient crop in terms of calories produced per unit of land. Other grains like rice, wheat, and soybeans also have significant caloric yields, but generally, corn is the leader in terms of calorie production per acre. This efficiency is one of the reasons corn is a staple crop in many agricultural systems around the world.

Wild story in relation to the topic of eating medaka. Tatsuki Fujimoto (the creator of the series Chainsaw Man) once had a pet medaka. When it eventually died his girlfriend told him to bury it, but the soil was too hard, so he left it on the ground. The sight of ants carrying away the fish made him sad, so he got rid of the ants and proceeded to eat the medaka. The next day he had gastroenteritis and lied to his girlfriend about what caused the illness.
  • @rippedlugan
I consider Adam an applied science communicator, so aquarium content is right on brand! Go for it!

Wow, these rice fish are like the unsung heroes of the aquatic world! But you know what's even more fascinating? The way that eel-looking guy (who's not an eel) casually gulps air – talk about living life on the edge. Reminds me of the "What happened to our stash?" dilemma from "We Need Cash." Anyway, it's like the rice fish are the secret agents of the aquarium world, thriving in conditions others find challenging. And that 18th-century painting with the girls and the madaka in a glass beaker is practically an ancient version of an Instagram post – timeless and quirky. By the way, have you ever tried preserving rice fish like anchovies? Apparently, it's a thing, and they describe it as pleasantly bitter. Life in a fishbowl just got a whole lot more interesting!

I'm loving Adam's transition into aquarium keeping. would love to see more!
