• Lyrics
I don't want to play this game no more
I don't wanna play it
I don't want to stay 'round here no more
I don't wanna stay here
Like rain on a Monday morning
Like pain that just keeps on going on
Look at all the hate they keep on showing
I don't want to see that
Look at all the stones they keep on throwing
I don't want to feel that
Like Sun that will keep on burning
I used to be so discerning, oh
In my recovery
I’m a soldier at war
I have broken down walls
I defined
I designed
My recovery
In the sound of the sea
In the oceans of me
I defined
I designed
My recovery
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing
My recovery
And I can hear the choirs keep on singing
Tell me what they’re saying
And I can hear the phone
It keeps on ringing
I don’t want to answer
I know that I used to listen
And I know I’ve become dismissive, oh
In my recovery
I’m a soldier at war
I have broken down walls
I defined
I designed
My recovery
In the sound of the sea
In the oceans of me
I defined
I designed
My recovery
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing
My recovery
In my recovery
I’m a soldier at war
I have broken down walls
I defined
I designed
My recovery
In the sound of the sea
In the oceans of me
I defined
I designed
My recovery
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing
My recovery
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing
My recovery
Keep soaring
Keep song-writing

For the first time while I'm recovered from depression and suicidal thoughts im listening to this song.. it means so much to me. It feels right now like I've heard this for the first time. ❤️ There is hope! Don't give up! ❤️🍀🍀

2 years clean from a horrific cocaine addiction which has destroyed my health but I'm still here, still breathing, still fighting and winning the war on this addiction. To others who do/did suffer from addiction I hope you all are doing okay and are safe, remember you can beat that addiction! You are a soldier at war 💜

Just over one year sober from alcohol and this song means more now than it ever has. Recovery is hard, but it’s so much better than the alternative. Grateful to be alive.

This song helped me recover from my sexual assault.

I wanna get better, but I wanna do it alone. Why can't people understand that? It stresses me out when people freak out over my mental health, I got it. It's my recovery.

I'm in recovery at the moment. I have 5 months and 20 days clean and sober. This song has been added to my playlist. I listen to it daily. Cause I will define and design my recovery. I will make it my own story to tell. #recovery #alcoholic #ichooserecovery Update... in just a couple days I'll have 365 days in a row!!

After 14 long miserable years from a heroin addiction I can finally say that I am a little over 3 months clean. Ppl in recovery are THE STRONGEST PPL OUT THERE it is SO freaking courageous stepping up to the plate every single day over and over again facing their demons and doing what it takes necessary to maintain sobriety and keep those demons at bay. It is easy to just give in and run from all of your problems. But to face them and change yourself is truly something to admire. Congratulations to ANYONE facing a struggle and choosing to overcome it. U are a soldier and I love and admire u. U are never alone. May God be with and bless u on your beautiful journey!🙏❤✨
