It’s Crazy How the Egyptian lady kept saying the Egyptian goods and African goods… Last time I checked Egypt is in Africa.

I am nubian Egyptian. There are 44 nubian Egyptian villages moved from Nile River side to the desert due to building high damage at 1964. We lived on river side for thousands of years. We have very old civilization.

She said "Aswan is the south gate from Egypt into Africa", as if Egypt isn't in Africa?! Those people are so adamant about their racism they're beyond delusional.

I visited this side of Egypt with my husband when I was there about 15 years ago. I had long, flowing locs at the time. The moment they laid eyes on me after I exited the boat that took us there, they all started chanting, 'my cousin, my cousin'. Talk about a beautiful feeling and connection. I recall one of the native brothers there who was looking closely at the bone structure of my face and neck. He said that I was Nubian. Hey, I was like, 'works for me'. They were much warmer and friendlier that the Egyptians in Cairo. I felt at home.

Egypt is Africa...PERIOD. Egypt is located squarely on the African continent and therefore integral part of Africa. The fact that they, as well as many other North African countries were conquered by Arabs and took on the Arabic language and much of the culture, as well as Islam and such, does not make them any less African.

To even say, "the black side of Egypt" is craaaazzzy.

My ancestors are Nubians from Egypt (Nubia back then) and followed the Nile to Uganda thousands of years ago and my dad was born! I am half Ugandan/Canadian and Nubian. My familly still speaks Kinubi (the language) and still practice our culture. ❤ I am a proud Nubian!

I didn’t know that Egypt was separate from the continent of Africa, though it seems very well attached to the rest of the continent.

I traveled to Egypt with a group prior to the Pandemic. Honestly, as amazing as the pyramids of Gaza were, I found the Nubian village to be the best part of the trip and felt most like "home"

The black people are the indigenous inhabitants of Egypt and have been residing there for thousands of years. The Arab invasion took place in the mid-7th century, which led to the displacement of a significant portion of the population towards the southern regions. Before the Arab invasion, Egypt had faced invasions from various other groups at different times including the Hyksos, Assyrians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans.

When I went to Aswan I never thought about eating anything but Egyptian food. Live it there! Went to a Nubian section and visited one of their houses for tea! Why would I go to Egypt to eat McDonald’s? How American are you!!!! When we travel, we should desire to immerse. And talk nicely to the locals. Those important kind communications will get us new friends and perhaps a home to visit when we go back! They don’t understand local vernacular we find ourselves in! 😔😔😔😔

As an Cairo arabian woman (lived in Holland her entire life) I am so proud of this (part) of Egypt. United, egyptians!
  • @shaqdizo7678
People talks about Egypt like Egypt it's the only country in Africa , but they're still saying it's not in Africa 😂😂😂
